Peculiar weak Charcadet

Aster is part of a huge family of Charcadets, Armarouges & Ceruledges who have always managed to accomplish huge things in their lives. Though, there were some members who would live a modest life away from battle. Typically, it is known that the Charcadets in this family evolved quickly, although Aster was a big exception. He was a peculiar Charcadet with the cursed trait of the shadows, causing him to always be surrounded by an ominous ghostly haze no matter where he went, and that was not something he was very proud of.

In fact, this hatred of that specific trait only caused him to stay as weak as he was, refusing to look into his own shadows due to his very clashing values. To him, the shadows were something akin to evil, which was the very opposite of what he truly wanted to be; a hero. As Aster kept watching his sisters & brothers evolve into great Armarouges & strong Ceruledges, he knew what he wanted to do early on, especially as he kept encountering Pokémon in need of help. And so, his goal of being an Armarouge was born from inspiration. Unfortunately, though, even with all the things Aster would do to get stronger, he was still weaker than the average Charcadet and even weaker than his younger siblings, causing a lot of frustrating in the little Charcadet.

Due to his overwhelming weakness, Aster was always very disliked by most of his family and was always seen as a weakling, someone that wasn't welcome in the family. But, despite that, he continued to stick around, no matter what happened...at least he wanted to do it for the one sister that cherished him no matter his power.

An early send-off

Despite Aster's bad reputation as a weak Charcadet, he was very cherished by others around him. In fact, he was able to befriend a few Pokémon early on, although his best friend was a Ralts with the name of Siegfried. At the time, he was entirely unsure of what to do with his life, which prompted Aster to invite him to hangout a few times. As the two enjoyed their time together, they started hearing stories of exploration from all around them. Stories of great adventures & mysteries, which sounded like music to their ears. Siegfried particularly really wanted to take on an adventure, but was very unsure of their success. Sure, the Ralts was stronger than the Charcadet, but he had never gone out in the world before...

Aster, without really thinking much about the consequences, decided to push on and left his family behind on his own. After a few times of trying to convince Siegfried, who was reluctant on leaving, the Charcadet eventually gave up and went out all by himself. Though, it didn't take long before he faints...

Halrour, a land of mystery

It felt like weeks, though it had only been hours. Aster found himself in the middle of unfamiliar territory, one that he had never seen before. Looking around in confusion, he couldn't help but appreciate the water that was surrounding him despite him being a fire-type. For a little bit, the little Aster contemplated all by himself before feeling an arm reaching outt for his shoulder. With hesitation, the Charcadet looked behind...

"I changed my mind, Aster! I'll go with you!"

Aster looked in shock as the friend that had previously declined exploring with him was right beside him, in a world neither of them were familiar with. Just what is this world?
