Similar to Eurydice, Ubiquity grew up in a temple far away in the mountains. This temple is full of people who were born and raised to be monks and shrine keepers. Ubiquity was on this holy path for his entire childhood, but his extremely strong sense of Justice kept him from sitting idly by once darkness descended upon the world. He began training to become proficient in martial arts in secret with another shrine keeper; he wanted to become strong to protect others, and strong enough to earn the right to descend the mountain. At 20, he earned this right by finally defeating his fellow shrine keeper in sparring. They embraced, and Ubiquity left the shrine, never to return — he knew the things he’d see and do in the earthly realm would make him too unclean to ever earn the right to become a monk again. Since then, he walks the earth, protecting towns and people in need of a hero. Every day he grows stronger through rigorous training and discipline. Ubiquity is serious and passionate, which makes him kind of scary to a lot of people. But he also has a soft, gentle heart for those in need. Sometimes, he can be a little bit ditzy, since he was raised far away from regular societies. He sleeps with his eyes open. He doesn’t really understand sarcasm or joking. He tries hard to train Ryland, but Ryland is also helping him relax more.
