Aster is a very learned young witch with a rather tramautic history. He grew up within a coven that followed the Loving Chaos, an eldritch diety who's sphere focuses on the natural beauty within the world. As such, he learned to conjure up beautiful scenes and visions from a young age... literally bringing a picturesque scape into reality. Such magics work with manipulating the very fabric of reality. So, it was no surprise when the young spellcaster found that one of his spells had a tear in its seam, and allowed a being of less savory intentions into his life. Ultimately, the demon possessed him through his magics. The hold was powerful enough that none of the exorcists his coven brought in could break it, and it took the entire group of witches using an ancient spell to finally severe the demon's hold. The result was... less than ideal. The entirety of the coven was wiped from existence, save for Aster, and the young witch was left with much of his own magics drained away. Now, clinging to what little he does have left, the red head can barely be classified as a witch. He spends his days running a small alchemy shop, selling tonics to those in need, and harnessing runic magic from the earth itself... the only magic he really can preform anymore.
Personality
Despite his rather sad past, Aster tries his best to be positive... or rather, at least not succumb entirely to the suffocating loneliness of his life. He's often found on his own, quiet and content with nature. He also takes it upon himself to help people in need, finding it a way to make amends for the horror that his mistakes have caused in the past... depsite them being an accident. The witch is actually quite good at assisting as well, even though he has very little magics of his own, thanks to his knowledge of how magic works and the study of nature that following the Loving Chaos has allowed him.

- Aster is an extremely patient person. And those that meet hime often compare him to someone far beyond his years.
Design Notes
- Aster has power rune symbols carved into is palms to help amplify the little magic that he has left... a feat that he dared to do himself in a moment of desperation.
- His eyes, like his magic, are very light and faded in color... almost appearing blind as he's lost nearly all of his power. Though, his vision itself remains unimpeded.
- Aster has a large, jagged scar on his back from were the demon was literally ripped asunder from his flesh... a touchy subject for the mage.
- He has a light dusting of freckles all of his body, though they are most prominent on his face.
Related Characters
Julian [ Friend ]
A fellow witch that Aster meet when the boy was searching for information on ancient runes. They were fast to get along and even faster to become friends, having similar personalities and fondness for quiet, calm surroundings. Julian, despite having no love for his restoration abilities, does hope to be able to help Aster with regaining his magics one day.
Hecate & Calixto [ Acquaintances ]
A pair of twin witches that Aster knows through their cousin, Julian. He doesn't really feel one way or another about the twins, seeing their lack of motivation (and competence) as their own choice. Though, he has been working with Hecate to help the other get through his fear of water... and the darkness that lurks with that fear.
Isaiah [ Friend ]
A mage that follows a different diety. Though despite that, the pair get along quite well. Aster appreciates that Isaiah understands his limits and that magic is something to be careful with. While conversely, Isaiah holds high regard for the patience and willingness that Aster shows him when he asks for guidance... something he never really gets from his own coven.
