The Overlord goes by various names. Its origins and species are mysterious. It appears to be a cordyceps fungus, with its "center" being composed of a grey ant's skeleton. Its body, which is (debatably) composed of mycelium, varies greatly in size based on its current goals, and depending on whether you consider its infected victims part of its body.

During the events of Fern's story, it acts as the main villain.
