Physical Description:

   A bigger than average Staraptor with an unnerving aura, and whose face is hidden away and concealed behind a visor that glows a vibrant shade of red. Her body being a pale spicy pink and liver coloration mixed with an ecru white. The once red-tipped crest over her head, now combed out and flows down either side of her face, with a mossy green highlighted tip to one side. And feathers sticking outward from the back of her head, reminiscent of that of a Swellow.

   Her tracksuit jacket exudes a deep Baltic Sea black coloration, elevated by subtle pastel gray-blue accents that trace along the seams and edges of it. A pale golden zipper provides an elegant contrast. With underneath all that, a collared shirt in a soft pinkish lavender shade. Adding a touch of refined charm to her ensemble.

Backstory:

   Sylvania originates from a place known as Calambiv Island, a large mass of land located somewhere in the Southeast part of the world with geography similar to Akala Island. Shortly before Sylvania's birth, her mother sadly passed away due to health complications. Her father, Rochez Cartel Meyer, was a renowned physiologist back home. Although a busy man, he raised her single-handedly from childhood through adulthood, before later remarrying to her stepmother, Freya Donell.

Her father taught her everything he knew, and is someone she looks up to greatly. But sadly, when she was just 24 years old, her father’s life, as well as his spouse’s, were suddenly taken. The cause of their deaths remains a mystery to this day. The loss of her father sent devastating shockwaves through her, but she didn’t have the time to mourn. With their passing, her little sister Charlotte, the biological daughter of Freya Donell, was left alone. With no one else to fend for her, and Sylvania not wishing to abandon her, she stepped in and took on the role of being Charlotte’s legal guardian.

With their parents now gone, Sylvania was left to handle all financial responsibilities alone, as well as try to support Charlotte. But struggling to manage expenses and grappling with the burden of medical bills after Charlotte's leg had to be amputated due to life-threatening circumstances, she soon could no longer bear the weight of it all. She was left with no choice but to sell their house to make ends meet. With nowhere else left to go, the two were prompted to leave the island in pursuit of a new place they could call home.

It’s been over half a decade since the traumatic events of that experience occurred. As the years unfolded after her parents' untimely and uncertain passing, those who knew Sylvania well began to notice a subtle but distinct change in her. The vibrant spirit she once exuded seemed to recede, replaced by a quieter, more contemplative demeanor. It was as if a veil had been drawn over a part of her, leaving an air of mystery in its wake. The circumstances of her past had left their mark, and while the details remained private, the transformation was unmistakable. I wonder if she knows anything we don’t... don’t you?

- Sylvania didn’t always look the way she does now. Aside from her slightly different colors, she was as normal as any other bird Pokémon of her evolutionary line. But sometime after the loss of her parents, and later on her vision, that’s when she completely changed everything about her appearance. Why did she do this exactly? It’s hard to say…

- She has one false charge for murder under her name in her records from an incident that occurred around two or three years ago. It’s likely somewhere around this time that her retinas were severely damaged and had permanently taken a toll on her vision.
