Appearance
Pinkish-red hair, slightly tan, freckled, yellow eyes. Her hair is always up in curled space buns unless she trusts the person she's with. She has an athletic build, and she has several of the same camisoles and jeans. Of her black leather jacket, however, she only has two or three "to keep it special".
Personality
Melissa is pushy in almost every sense of the word, and delighted about it. There is very few people she'll relent to. She has a playful, lightly seductive nature, and rarely seems to take things seriously. She is very persistent once she wants something, though. She doesn't like talking, and usually pushes others away.

If Melissa is wearing gloves, she planning on using holy symbols and objects against unholy creatures. The gloves protect her from burning.
Would you believe she used to be a farm girl? As a human, she lived in a rural area, then moved to Chicago in the 1920's to become a singer. She engaged in flapper culture and was quite successful until another new girl came onto the scene. Enraged and believing that the girl was squandering her chances at success, she murdered the girl and tried to pin it on her current lover. It did not work - she was killed by the other girl's brother and ended up in the seventh circle of hell for her violent acts. Since then, she has fought her way to the surface, turning her wrath into power over bestial entities such as werewolves and feral demons. She is now known as the Beast Tamer, and is renowned for her unorthodox methods against other unholy beings.

-Melissa's Pride is often mistaken to be in her combat abilities, but in reality, she's prideful of her hair. When she was human and trying to become a singer, her agent insisted that she cut her hair short to fit with the flapper trend. Now that she's free to do as she pleases, she keeps her hair to herself, only letting it down to care for it.
-Melissa takes a single person for "company" in any town that she goes to. It's just a fling. She chooses strong, prideful individuals that will give her a social edge while she's in town. In Rapture, her "company" used to be Jeff. They had their fling from the 80's to the late 90's, but eventually Jeff realized she wasn't committed to the relationship at all and they broke up (rather spectacularly).
