Talak is the middle child of three Wyverian siblings. He is an atheltic individual who keeps pace with his older twin sister Riva and competes with her. He is atletic and takes pride in his endurance and his skills as a blade weilder. The scar on his face comes from an injured nargacuga that he underestimated while him and Riva were hunting it. His vision is slightly damaged in his right eye. He loves powerful monsters that give him a challenge when fighting him. He likes clothing and armor that is lightweight and durable as he feels he can move a lot faster wearing them. He currently travels between the New World and Eorzea with his girlfriend Geirdriful. His palico companion named Zel is a grey tuxedo who specializes in traps.

He grew up with his sisters in a secretive wyverian village and is very close with the two of them. He is extremely protective over them and is extremely judgmental and skeptical of their chosen loved ones.He especially had a hard time letting go of his role as his younger sister Kasee's protector and it took a good while before her entrusted that responsibility to Nina. Though the three siblings have gone separate paths they are still close and reunite regularly.

Talak and Geirdriful met when Geirdriful was transported with an Aetheryte crystal to the monster hunter world. Her along with Talak and Riva confronted the teleported beast Behemoth and conquered it. Talak was impressed by Geirdriful's skill and physique and requested to return to Eorzea with her. The two traveled together and eventually fell in love despite Geirdriful's inability to realize that Talak liked her for the longest time.
