Leon is inspired by Link, Kankri, and Marill halloween costumes I've worn in the past.
The inspiration of Link goes into the swordsman style character and the left handedness, as well as the fact that he's elvish and halfling, halfling to make him a little shorter than elves in my setting. The Kankri inspiration ties him back to the Cancer god in the setting and makes him powered, capable of doing a certain spell as much as he wants, innately, a power that is being able to touch people and turn them into himself for a short period of time. He doesn't actually have an identical twin, she's not his sister at all. He's been reincarnated and remembers his past life of being a bitter old man mercenary, and is actually more of a father figure to the girl that he ends up traveling with and teaching about swordsmanship, but she's trans and he uses his power to turn her into himself physically, both to help with dysphoria for her because he's a trans man, and because she's human and would have an incredibly short lifespan otherwise. The turning his psuedo-daughter into a reflection of himself is a sorta nod to the way Marill could change gender to a boy when evolved from Azurill, taken to an extreme.
