Skunk was chosen as prime simply because Dandelion thought she was cool. Their personalities mesh well, both having strong senses of humor, and Dandelion figured evening out the Clutter’s leadership by appointing a defense specialist would be a good call. Skunk realized from a young age that she was different from other kittens. It didn’t take long for her to figure out why, and she told the Clutter that she was a molly before she even became a mentee. It wasn’t until later on, a few months through her training, that she realized she was ok with being perceived as masculine, too, and accepted that he/him pronouns were also something she’d like to be called. She and Beebalm were mentees at the same time, and Skunk was enamored with her almost instantly. There were times he would skip out on patrols and practice to spend time with her. When Beebalm revealed that they would be having kittens of their own, Skunk nearly fainted from happiness. She began practicing her dad jokes right away, as it was the most urgent thing she could do to prepare. He wasn’t given any of his kittens to train, but two of them did choose the defense path, so Skunk joins in on their lessons anytime she can. She was chosen to train Spicebush, however, and the two remain great friends even after Spicebush’s graduation. Skunk is a familiar and friendly face to every kitten, given that Beebalm is the Clutter’s only trained care specialist. She’d love to have more kittens of her own one day, whenever Beebalm is ready.
