Hemocyte

Design

Appearance

In her human form, Hemocyte is a 6'0" ft/182 cm tall woman with an ectomorph build. She has light red skin and red long spiky hair that reaches to her wings. Her wings and tail from her dragon form are visible. Her outfit consists of a dark red trench coat with a black undershirt, light maroon bandages on her arms, a black choker with a light maroon string tie that has one red gem-shaped aglet, and black shoes. She usually has a worried expression on her face.

In her dragon form, Hemocyte is a Skydancer (bird-like dragon) with splotches of black and red. Her wings are structured to that of a bird's with claws sticking at the end. The wing tips are teal while the claws are red. Hemocyte also has a bony sphere on top of her forehead accompanied with antennae, which are present to all Skydancers.

Notes

• Since her human design is carried over from her much detailed Flight Rising design, feel free to simplify either as much as you like. I personally simplify her because it's just easier for me.
• Her nails are as sharp as her claws (both on hands and wings) in her dragon form. How she doesn't get scars from scratching her face is a mystery.
• Her irises are scribbly.
• She can take away the dragon parts in her human form whenever she likes, but usually chooses not to, with the exception of the sphere on her forehead.

Personality

Hemocyte is a highly apprehensive, paranoid, and jittery person. Constantly worried for the future itself and practically everything in-between, its almost always in a hazardously bad state of mind. The theories it comes up with comforts and scares the dragon constantly without fail.

Even with how unusual she is, Hemocyte believes whatever she's doing is putting herself on the right path, no matter how unseemly or strange. She genuinely cares about her friends and the worlds she knows of, it's just that a lot of the time, she's not really in the right place.

Relationships

DR. JULIUS "JULES" SUNSHINE

"I still can't quite believe it, Doctor… how come you were risen from your grave?"

Close friend. When Hemocyte found someone who could truly listen to her not just from the radio, it was life-changing to her. Sunshine was almost like a family member to the dragon.

Heavily inspired by AnnaDreamurr's Ivanushka "Ivan" Tone and Dr. Sunshine's relationship.

Friend. She still doesn't completely understand the weight of Dr. Thrill's situation entirely, but she finds the goblin relatable in a way.

Trivia

• Unless you're somehow really skilled at identifying others, you can never recognize Hemocyte off-radio. When on-radio, she has very concise and witty wording, and beams with charisma all around. She's a total wreck when she's not.
• Even with how unstable she is, she is still good at flying. You'd be surprised how rare she crashes into things.
• She wants to have children, with or without a partner - but is afraid that she might have a negative influence on her youngins. So she doesn't go through this until she has a clearer mindset, much to her dismay.
• Her original concept was that she was going to be a human man named "Sevda Ivanushka" who was a lot more sociable (usually).
• The AM frequency (1629) to its radio show is a reference to the Spirit Phone album's release date. 16 refers to the year 2016, while 29 refers to the day SP released (February 29th).
  • Additionally, SP-TTP is supposed to stand for "Spirit Phone Touch-Tone Telephone".
• For tall she is in her human form, Skydancers are ironically one of the smaller dragons in Flight Rising.
• It is a self-appointed detective. It doesn't want and never will work for the police.
