Eden's Links
Eden finds this heir to be very foolish, and usually avoids him. It's... complicated.
Once, Eric had made the mistake of comparing their appearances. For some reason, Eden took grave offense to this and didn't reply, simply staring down Eric until he awkwardly took his leave. They... Don't get along well? He thinks? Although honestly, he's not sure if it's a true conflict or if it's just the way Eden acts around everyone.
As classmates, it's natural that Eden and Corvis would have some level of interaction, but Eden is surprised by how much he enjoys the company of his peers. Eden really enjoys playing little tricks on Corvis, but they never seem to go as planned. Most people run screaming from Eden's little bestial friend, but Corvis seems to not mind, even enjoying seeing the little lizard. Eden feels like a cuckoo in the nest, looking into Garreg Mach but never truly able to unmask in front of others due to his mission and his past.
There's something else about Corvis, something that Eden can't quite remember. Some kind of distant familiarity, something that makes Eden doubletake when he sees him.
Between that strange yet comforting deja vu and Corvis' acceptance of Eden's stranger behaviors, Eden feels very charmed. Not that it really shows on the surface...
Corvis may be subtle in his emotive behaviours, but he expresses them nonetheless. Few of his classmates can identify just how he's feeling, but Eden's observant nature catches them with ease. His eyes glow fond when he plays his tricks, and despite his intimidating aura he's never really annoyed with his peers- save for their house leader. He gets surprisingly defensive when it comes to Eden and the way Ataraxia would try to tease and torment him, and feels a personal responsibility when it comes to Eden. He can't quite explain why... sure, he'd make sure the others are at their tip-top shape while on missions, but he almost dotes on Eden a little. Checking if bandages are tight enough, casually asking if he's eaten, or his progress on assignments. He can't deny this peculiar need to protect Eden.
She's weird, but she's still the only Agarthan that treats Eden with any empathy whatsoever. She's a lot softer than her comrades, in some ways. When Eden was younger, he enjoyed spending time with her. It felt like a breath of fresh air compared to the other Agarthans. Now, she's just as stifling as the rest. When faced with real, human compassion, it's hard for Eden to think about returning to her side. He doesn't get much opportunity to interact with her anyways, due to her cover - though the unsettling letters he receives, painted with blood and ominous messages from the depths, are a constant reminder of what's waiting for him at home.
My faithful follower! Arete has known Eden since he was a child, freshly picked up for experimentation. Due to that, she has a pretty close connection to him despite his inferior stock. They've worked together for ages now, and she doesn't think its a stretch to say that she's Eden's closest friend. After all, she's the only one Eden can be truly honest around, so a human would never make for a good companion for him. It is interesting to watch his interactions with other humans, if only from a purely clinical perspective. Something seems different with the lad lately...
