Kit+Apprentice

Blueblade was given to Cragclan with his two siblings by a she-cat called Watercrash, but she was sick and died in the clan with her kits. Brownkit, Bluekit and Greykit never really got adopted by any cat and were raised in the clan by other queens! The three were close kits who often got into trouble and often talked about finding their family as they remembered their mother well!... though that was a far-fetched dream for the three that seemed impossible.

Bluepaw was assigned Sandygaze as a mentor- a cold and resentful warrior who hated their leader with a passion for exiling his friends. This hatred really rubbed off on Bluepaw who started to look up to Sandygaze as a father figure. Bluepaw often questioned his place in the clan but Sandygaze always seemed to encourage him and pick him up on the worst days so- he could look past the bad parts of his mentor. While he was close to his mentor, Bluepaw, Brownpaw and Greypaw slowly drifted away until Brownpaw passed away due to an illness. That kinda broke Greypaw and Bluepaw’s relationship as they did not speak much after that.

Warrior

Bluepaw earned his warrior name- Blueblade, being named after a blade of grass for his sharp skills. Oneday Sandygaze came to Blueblade talking about scenting foxes- saying that he should go on a patrol with the leader and check it out, so Blueblade obliged, not thinking much of it. The leader and Blueblade went out but Sandgaze had led the foxes out to them in an attempt to kill the leader, leaving the leader severely injured. Blueblade had no idea of the plan and realized what happened soon after- but the damage had already been done and the leader was suspicions of the two.

While still being heavily injured and not able to fight back, Sandygaze was caught attempting to murder the leader. The clan soon exiled Sandygaze, but also exiled Blueblade for his part in the plan and assumption he was conspiring with Sandygaze. This greatly upset Blueblade who was shattered that he’d been used by his mentor and kicked due to it. One the hunt for food one night, Blueblade witnessed Sandygaze also murder a young cat in order to steal their prey- which horrified Blueblade.

Blueblade could look past the cat who once uplifted and comforted him- now seeing him for the murder and horrible cat he truly was. Late that night he ran away from him. He’d remembered a clan he’d been told about growing up- Riftclan and tried to set out to look for it!! He eventually found it and joined, fitting right in with the other outcasts.

Little did he know, he was related to Riftstar through Watercrash being a kit of Riftstars brother! The two figured it out while talking and Blueblade was overjoyed and felt blessed to somehow end up with his own kin- something that was a dream since kithood! Joining the clan rather late into starvation, Blueblade was a helpful warrior who formed close relationships with those who would eventually pass. He was appointed Periwinklepaw's mentor and was a great mentor...althuoght when his apprentice went off by herself and was killed by enemy warriors, he felt heartbroken and blammed himself.

Blueblade was happy to have been able to help those in need, even if it was just a little. He became close to Stormdawn and especially Midnighthowl since they were kin. He was one of the last 4 surviving cats of Riftclan and ended up saving Midnighthowl from a dog that attacked the camp and died in the process.
