Profile
Simfia is a powerful psychic that enchants corpses with her haunting voice. On a good day she can also sing her enemies to sleep with a lullaby and do them in while they're out cold.
She can only do either thing at a time, not both, and only for about four minutes at a time (the length of one song). Her limit is about 1-3 times per day depending on intensity/complexity of instructions. Overuse of powers result in nasty headaches. (She can sing normally for as long as she wants.)
Simfia is currently looking for a Matesprit to fill her last quadrant, but unfortunately necromance is not the preferred form of flushed advances among most trolls.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
- Redblood
- Horns resemble music notes -- specifically, either end of a single eighth note
- Hair is swept into a permanent "S" shape. Trolls get weird cowlicks!
- Has a single maligned fang that curves inward toward the rest of her teeth (handy for opening bottles, but gets kinda in the way otherwise)
- Sickly sweet voice
- Likes wearing fancy dress shirts
PERSONALITY
- Type A
- Kind of a busybody; likes to decide things for people
- Basically thinks she's the greatest thing since sliced bread
- Very competitive
- Has a strange sense of humor and doesn't get why people don't laugh at her jokes
- Has a bad temper, and struggles to handle things delicately
- Knowledgeable about a variety of subjects, especially cultural ones
- Likes: Singing, dancing, Visari
- Dislikes: Music that's off-key, whenever things don't go her way
TRIVIA/DESIGN NOTES
- 'Simfia' is sort of a phonetic blend of 'symphony' and 'Cynthia'.
- 'Da Capo' is a musical term meaning 'from the beginning', which indicates to jump from wherever you are in the musical score to the beginning of the piece
- Simfia's sign is actually a 'segno', which is a navigational marker in a musical score. When 'Dal Segno' is reached, you return to where the symbol is displayed and play from there onward. 'D.S. al Fine' means to return to the segno marker and play to the end of the piece. There is no symbol for 'capo', and since D.C. al Fine and D.S. al Fine are functionally similar, the segno was used for her sign.
