Ornata is a shy, unstable girl that wishes she had better control of her powers; they're grounds for culling, and she knows it. She tends to set them off when her emotions run high, and that's pretty often. Ornata just has a lot of feelings about stuff, okay???

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

• Greenblood (It's yellow-green! Not lime! She swears!)
• Fat and squishy
• Small and nonthreatening at first glance, though floating brings up the intimidation factor (as long as she's not crying)
• Flat, curved horns resemble snakes' tongues (minus the fork), or a flying snake
• Gets sick easily and often

PERSONALITY

• Incredibly emotional; breaks down over small things frequently
• Skittish, panicky, scared of conflict
• Very empathetic and cares strongly for others, especially other (perceived) weaklings
• Highly aware of how anti-combat and therefore cull-able she is
• Has a lot of hangups and self-worth issues centered around how she barely survived the trials (by hiding/running away, essentially)
• Gets flush crushes easily
• Prone to mood swings and irrational thinking
• Tends to spy on others from a distance rather than interact directly
• Likes: Her lusus, the jungle where she lives
• Dislikes: Other trolls, her own powers (except flying)

NAME MEANING/TRIVIA

• 'Ornata' comes from Latin Chrysopelea ornata, the scientific name for the golden flying snake. This kind of snake flattens itself in order to glide through the air and parachute from tree to tree.
• (Ornata's lusus can straight-up fly, though. Giant psychic alien snakes can do what they want.)
• 'Makrut' is another name for a kaffir lime.
