PERSONALITY AND BACKGROUND

PERSONALITY: A clever man who plays the role of a knight, but he’s actually a spy that works to overthrow corrupt governments. Even though his job revolves around hiding, he’s a man of his word. Todd lives on promises, it’s his sworn duty to be loyal to his word, as both a spy and a knight. If someone breaks a promise with him, expect them to be hunted down and dead within two days. He’s a bit reserved, but still manages to keep a grin spread on his face. Todd also usually tries to avoid connecting with others to prevent himself from getting too attached, just because he’s known to be very emotional and empathetic to people he grows close to. Lawful Evil.

TRAUMA: Todd, being a spy, was first assigned to kill a corrupt monarchy. His mission was to be accepted as a guard, kill the royal family, then pin the blame on someone else. He wasn’t opposed to this at all at first, but during his station, he grew incredibly close with the royal family. But the fateful day still came, he had to do what he promised, even though his heart couldn’t bear to do it. He stabbed the king in his sleep, but the queen witnessed it. After breaking down in tears in front of her and telling her everything… But she smiled and asked him to do two things for her: kill her, but take care of her kids. He promised her that one thing before the inevitable stab… Todd nabbed the kids during his escape, but still continued being a spy to make a living.


GAMEPLAY

Starting Stat Bonuses-

BOON: Battling Together - Battling together is a promise in of itself. This deal will give Todd and anyone he partners with (doesn’t matter if the other person is on his team or not) +1 power bonus and +1 defense bonus for rolls. If the other person leaves, dies, gets knocked unconscious, or Todd leaves and gets knocked unconscious, the bonuses are null.

BANE: Vulnerability - Due to his original assignment of murder, Todd has gained a lot of empathy for those who are vulnerable. While he won’t exactly go to help them, if Todd finds someone unconscious, or is fighting someone and they get knocked unconscious, he can’t bear to finish them off. Attacks are unusable until he leaves the unconscious individual, or someone else kills them.

SKILL: BLOOD ALLIANCE - The strongest duo is one who hinges on a promise, or at least that’s how Todd feels. He can make one BLOOD ALLIANCE with anyone for one challenge, which activates with a suggested signal. Using the signal, he can bring the blood ally to himself or go to them as quickly as he can manage. HOWEVER- This ends the BLOOD ALLIANCE upon use. If someone intervenes, the alliance still counts as being used and can no longer be accessed by Todd or the other player.

SKILL: BLOOD RETALIATION (After Todd is revived into Toddbot) - You have a promise to protect those who you fight alongside, after all, that is the meaning of trust. Todd can trust 1 teammate enough to have a PSY response- a chance to counterattack whenever that teammate gets damaged. You have a choice to take this chance or not.
