False accusations of impropriety with her boss led to strained relationships with coworkers and a tainted professional image. After the first time they slept together, Ash would react differently to Harper. Unfortunately Harper knew what would come next and takes advantage of her feelings by openly flirting with her and jokingly say that they're "dating." Ash knows that she'll be flat out denied, thus she keeps her feelings to herself... when it's obvious to everyone else.

Ouro  [ Coworker ]

Harper is still traumatized by her past of working for a company. And it took a while to open up with the other employees of the Palace. She constantly kept herself reserved and often retreated to her room unless there were potential clients in the vicinity. Not until she met Ouro, a father-like individual that would discipline the other employees if there was any disdain among the Palace workers. With constant reassurance, Ouro helps her realize that the Palace is a place of comfort and everyone who works there will treat her as their own.
As Harper sought solace and security in her new professional environment, Ouro emerged as a guiding presence, offering both wisdom and empathy.
Ouro's age and experience in the realm of the Palace positioned them as a figure of trust for Harper. Sensing Harper's underlying trauma from her previous experiences in San Francisco, Ouro took it upon themselves to provide a safe space within the confines of the Palace. His reassurance became a soothing balm for Harper's anxieties, as Ouro made it clear that the Palace was a sanctuary where her well-being was prioritized.

Maximille  [ Boss ]

Durand is the boss of Harper, and uses his own tailor shop as a hidden front to the lucrative Palace that she works in. Maximille, strict and relentless, doesn't shy away from lecturing and criticizing Harper for her unconventional methods of attracting customers. Harper's tendency to linger in the shop, flirting with Maximille's clients, challenges the discreet nature of the Palace.
Beneath the stern exterior lies an understanding and reliance on the clandestine nature of the Palace. Despite his reservations and lectures, Maximille employs his own wealth and influence to ensure the safety and protection of Harper and the rest of the employees working under his roof. Roselo's is the only thing in the past... that she could not separate from. No matter how hard she tried. Baseless rumors in the lab she worked for in the past had affected her reputation, but her coworkers were not wrong. She indeed had a secret relationship with Roselo, her boss. He was an exceptional scientist, and a popular man. The two of them caught each other's interests and such relationships happened on a whim. Because of him and everyone else in that lab, she lost her job. So the sight of him after evading for years, she was angry.

But Roselo was unaware of it all; where her coworkers set her up to get fired out of pure jealousy. He explained that when Harper left unknowingly, he hard discovered it the hard way and turned the whole company upside down in retaliation for losing a gifted researcher like Harper. By the time Roselo reached out to rehire Harper again, she was already long gone. He wasn't expecting Harper to be a sex-worker, and seeing her in Prodigal territory, surprised him.
Emil continues to visit Harper in the Palace with large sums of cash.
