Tam is a spirit warrior employed upon the Courier of souls. In addition to those who have passed but want to move on, lost or otherwise confused souls sometimes attack. While there's nothing Tam wants to do to harm them, sometimes it's necessary to fight back to get those out who want to be gotten out of a situation like that or to protect the ship and its many occupants.
Known for both his fighting prowess and his vigilance, Tam Is dedicated security and watchman of the Courier, as well as performing his spirit warrior duties when needed. Even ashore, he may stay with the ship to guard its contents - and occupants - from theft or harm.
Notably, Tam isn't all work no play, despite his watchful nature and often intense job. While he is a guard, he also is a friend to every member of the crew and one of the most trusted to watch Moth when needed. He also makes cocoa to rival Consus' and the two often compete to outdo one another on a cold night by brewing big pots for the whole crew to judge. They're both always on the lookout for a new flavor. Winner of the competition gets bragging rights and a cupcake Moth picks out!

Gauge
[ Friend/crewmate ] While Gauge isn't as close to Tam as Consus is, Tam loves her just the same. Tam knows Gauge has exquisite taste, can assist in warrior-related matters, and that she's like a safe with secrets. He has snuck his cocoa recipes to her when Consus wasn't looking to see if he's got the edge in the competition... and of course, Consus does the same. Gauge tells neither of them, but... they both know.
Consus
[ Friend/crewmate ] Cocoa buddies, besties, and fierce competitors! Tam and Consus know each other well and love to get to know one another more. They're just as happy to be on a team as they are to be rivals, and love to play it up a bit in a friendly manner. Tam also sees Consus like a brother, having known him so closely.
Irisha
[ Friend?/captain ] The Captain is a bit of an enigma to Tam. While he's comfortable with her presence, he has trouble reading her in all her stoicism. He hopes she's trusting of him, and that he's doing a good job, but her blank stares and calm voice don't always give him the answers. He knows she's a kind enivi and would gently tell him if he slipped up, but he hopes they're also friends... it's hard to tell some days.
Moth
[ "nibling" ] Moth is a very loved little one in Tam's life. Between watching them be a joy about the ship, helping them steal cupcakes, and being the main babysitter for the little one, the two are rather close. Moth considers Tam to be an ucle figure, and Tam considers Moth his pibling. Gauge and Consus are happy with this arrangement and occasionally refer to Tam as family as well.
