Veritas Remona's Links
Even though they seem like an odd pair, Vera enjoys his time with Bardiche. Initially, Vera felt compelled to find the perfect book to convince him that reading was a worthwhile pastime. Now, he makes sure to include all of Bardiche's favorites in his book orders. Studious library visitors might notice the quickly growing comics-themed corner, set up with one of the comfiest seats in the library. Sometimes, Vera finds himself lingering near the corner when the library is closed, considering the day he's had. Even though Bardiche is crass, a prankster, and hassles Vera on his (lack of) combat ability, Vera finds his presence a little comforting. The library does seem quieter when he's away...
Veritas should be the last type of person a guy like Bardiche would ever befriend let alone get along with. Their interests clash, their personalities are on opposite spectrums, and their compatibility seems low, which makes their friendship unlikely… AND YET??? Against all odds, something kindled. Bardiche’s dislike for reading kept him far far away from the library but once Vera caught wind of his dislike he had lost the battle before it even started. Bardiche became invested in the action comic books Vera would ship in and meanwhile he worked his own interests into Vera’s everyday ensemble. He finds himself reading by his forge more often than he’d like and stopping by the library much more frequently despite his loud presence being quite unwelcome in a library. Vera’s just pretty what can he say?? (It’s totally not for the books…)
Seems like a good kid! Anyone who studies with their pals deserves a little pat on the head and a couple treats. He seems really skittish though! Maybe Vera should revise his recipes...
The librarian! Lucian sees him fairly often, when he drops by for the study group or just on his own to learn a bit more about Fodlan. He makes sure to drop by pretty often for the free snacks and tea. He never really gets too comfy, though, in case that looming professor shows up... he sure spends an awful lot of time around Mr. Remona.
Jericho is a great reader, so Vera never minds his presence! Jericho always returns his loans with great care, which Vera appreciates immensely. It's nice to be around someone with similar ideals. Jeri seemed reluctant to interact with Vera at first, which he didn't mind - It's the books that people should be there for anyways. Now, though, things seem a little bit different. Sometimes they chat, and on occasion Vera awakens to find Jericho working on little things around the library. Veritas knows the truth! Even though you act cold, you're soft at heart. Maybe someday Vera will go down to help organize the Abyssal library! Though he doesn't know if they have a librarian already or not... It might be more of an imposition than a help... Either way, someday he intends to repay the favors he's been given.
Jericho, for the most part, keeps his interactions with the fellow staff brief. Perhaps a quick greeting here and there is all he really offers. Becoming somewhat of a professor did call for a closer studying of subjects he might be asked a question or two over... he began to frequent the library when he had the time. He couldn't help that over time- perhaps the slow wear of years on his attitude- Vera would become a friend. Having so often come across each other, how could Jericho not admit enjoying his company? His recommendations are always right on the nose, he isn't too loud, he cares about the books. There aren't many things at Garreg Mach that bring a smile to his lips, but... admittedly... finding Vera asleep in a new spot of the cozy library never fails to do so, and he doesn't mind picking up a few fallen books here and there. Perhaps in gratitude for his companionship if nothing else.
Vera barely remembers his dreams when he wakes up, so he's not really aware of any godly visitors...
What an interesting child of man... While Sothis definitely wouldn't prefer this body for permanent residence, they enjoy watching its dreams quite often. Such frequent and vivid dreams... Sothis wonders how they came about. Night after night, day after day, hours worth of storybook scenarios play out in the mind of this librarian. Sothis enjoys them - it's like a stage play! Based off of the librarian's daily life and interactions with this vessel, you wouldn't imagine how many bodice-ripper scenarios there are... Really, where do you keep those books? Is there some secret compartment??
