> At A Glance

Martha Dandridge Custis Washington (she likes being referred to by her full name or just Marthie), contrary to the belief of many second-generation clones in Clone High, is not the clone of Martha Washington (though she keeps telling others that she is the clone of Martha Washington). Surprisingly, not even her foster parents, both pigeon fanciers from Ireland, knew who she was cloned after (as Scudworth just told them that she was "a normal pigeon") and coincidentally named her after their favorite historical figure, which was what led to her believing that she was cloned after Martha Washington. She only realized that she wasn't the clone of Martha Washington when James T. Tanner told her about it, and he has since then assisted her in helping her accepting the truth and embracing who she really is. They have been good friends ever since.

Marthie really likes science and talking to other clones, but she is seen as an object of ridicule due to her being a talking animal. Ever since she became friends with Jim, she always listens to his bird infodumps and science talk while learning from them. Whenever Jim is busy or hanging out with others (which happens very rarely), Marthie usually hangs out with the clones of the Founding Fathers of the United States - her "old friends", as she loves to call them - who have learnt to accept her into the gang even though she was formerly seen as annoying to them during the 1990s-2000s before the first-generation clones were all frozen.

> Personality

Marthie is rather tomboyish and is very short-tempered. Even the smallest of things, such as being called a carrier pigeon instead of a passenger pigeon, can annoy her easily and cause her to yell at others. If provoked, she will not hesitate to swoop and peck at others. She is very proud of herself for being a clone of Martha (the bird, not the human), and wishes to continue her legacy - in a more chaotic and aggressive way. Though she has already overcome the fact that she is not a clone of Martha Washington, a part of her personality, such as seeing herself as "more superior than others", remains unchanged (but she is actively trying to change them). Marthie also has an Irish accent due to the influence of her foster parents.

> Relationships

George Washington: Martha loves to flirt with him jokingly and tell him that they were "meant to be together". He is obviously annoyed at her for doing all of this due to the fact that she is a bird, but Martha does not care much about this.

James T. Tanner: Martha's friend who taught her more about her species and made her discover who she really was. She admires Jim for his vast knowledge of ornithology.

Georg W. Steller: A chill dude who listens to Martha's woes and likes to spend time "analyzing" her (which Martha allows due to him stating that it was for scientific purposes) by blankly staring at her and thinking about how her body parts work.

> Trivia

- Marthie is the clone of Martha (c. 1885-1914), the last living passenger pigeon ever recorded before the species went extinct. Named after the first First Lady, Martha Washington, Martha was known as a celebrity due to her reaching the status of being an endling while she stayed in the Cincinnati Zoo.

- Some suspect that the reason as to why Marthie is more anthropomorphic than her clonemother might be due to a potential mix-up in Scudworth's cloning lab, or he might have intentionally spliced in a tiny bit of human DNA into her egg for experimental purposes... we may never know the real reason why.

- Marthie really despises sand being thrown at her (an oddly specific action), even if it was just a harmless prank. This is due to how it reminds her of how her clonemother was treated before she died, as visitors of the zoo would often throw sand at her just to see her move.

- Marthie canonically owns a (human-sized) moped that is named the Migratorius. How does she drive it? We have no idea. (Actually, she gets special extensions fitted on her moped so she can drive it easier.)
