The princess of the sea with the duty to protect both the land and seas. illumiere tries her best to prevent creature of the sea from doing any harm for the creature above along with the ghost Navy who are still 'on patrol'. She likes to talk to them and asks about their stories sailing the seas while still alive. Illumiere is hunted by many because of her beautiful skin and elegant dress which shines at night. Legens says she is a new generation of Ningyos, making the eater live for a long time. So she must be very careful going near the surface. The sea creature have a big amount of respect for her
