Profile
The warm, kind professor of language in the Intellegensia Guild, with masters and degrees in several languages across the galaxy. Cor is open and warm to all his students, encouraging them to ask "stupid" questions or make mistakes while under his care. He has a great amount of investment and care for each of his students, personally seeking to deliver greatness to all of them. Cor is notorious for his rivalry with Doctor Veritas Ratio- Cor does not view knowledge as a commodity like currency or dullness as a malady- leading to the two clashing very often. Despite his popularity with his students, Cor is very mysterious about his past. His scar, apparent long life, and wings on his head are subject to many gossiping topics of glorious pasts. There remains a great mischeviousness and desire for chaos within Cor, often pulling pranks or insults upon Dr. Ratio or the IPC. His penchance for chaos also means that he displays almost uncharacteristic coldness to people he doesn't know personally, not caring if they suffer or die.

- "Cor" means "heart" in Latin, the clear opposite of Veritas Ratio's "truth" and "logic". Corbinian means "crow".
- Possesses incredible combat prowess and has defended his students during field trips many times with little effort.
No one is sure how old Corbinian Jacobi is- he could be as old as he looks, or thousands of Amber Eras old. He simply showed up at the Intelligentsia Guild one day and somehow convinced the Council to allow his entry. There are no records of his backstory, education, or even if Corbinian Jacobi is his real name. Yet wthin the few years he has been present at the Guild, he has already earned several doctorates in various languages with terrifying speed and efficiency. Despite language being a "dying" study due to the Synesthesia Beacon, Cor has chosen this topic as his specialty. When asked why, he simply laughs heartily and declares it amusing to go against the grain of expectations.
Cor joined the Masked Fools many years ago, recruited by a senior already within the organization. The Fools view the world as "merciless, but there is joy to eliminate pain, dilute sorrow, resist nihilism, and heal wounds". Cor spent much time with the Masked Fools stirring chaos and change in all edges of the universe. He pursued pleasure for a long time, infiltrating into several organizations and spending many years amongst others- meaning Cor doesn't remember how old he is. He spent many years with the Galaxy Rangers before their decline, mocking them for their overzealous desire for justice, and even some years with the IPC and scorning their worship of Qlipoth. His scar is a result of one particular battle he fought alongside the Galaxy Rangers during their decline- which caused him to abandon his infiltration of them. When Cor "infiltrated" the Intelligentsia Guild, hoping to find some scholars to mock for their overthinking, he found himself rather at home. Now he only visits the Masked Fools' tavern sometimes, and no longer thinks of himself as "infiltrating" the Guild.
He's not sure why his worldview suddenly shifted when he joined the Intelligentsia Guild. Perhaps he found some enjoyment in studying the many languages he'd come across in the years of traveling as a Masked Fool. His students were bright and eager to learn, and he lacked the heart to mock them. Although Cor respects and cares for all those in the Intelligentsia Guild, he still holds contempt for most others in the universe. The targets for the chaos that Cor still fosters in his heart mostly centers around Dr. Ratio and the IPC, who he can't help but to mock constantly- Dr Ratio for his all-mighty-ness and the IPC for their filthy hypocrisy. Cor finds himself content committing to his research and students, while mocking and laughing at his two targets... Although perhaps in a few years he will lose interest, as all follows of Aha do. He isn't sure, and Cor has never been the type to plan his life ahead like that.
Veritas Ratio [ Rival ]
Fierce rivals. They seem to be opposite every way- from interest in topics and methods of teaching students. Both refer to each other coldly by their first names, and Cor is always frustrated with him. However there seems to always be a level of scholarly comradery- they are rivals, not enemies, after all.
Aventurine [ Enemy(?) ]
Cor hates the International Peace Corporation and its involvement in the Intellegensia Guild. Aventurine, one of the Stonehearts, is no exception, and since they interact so often, they are cold hearted enemies of one another.
Sampo [ Colleague ]
Fellow Masked Fools, but Cor has slightly departed from them. Both find each other amusing and catch up at the Fools' tavern when they get the chance- which is rare since both are "infiltrating" different places.
