Riggs's Links
Riggs loves March like she was his own mother. He knows that she secretly hides her pain about being a 'failed mother' to him, but knows very well that she raised him better than any other mothcat could do. He loves her a lot and vows to protect her until she's tired of him.
March sometimes feels like she has failed as a mother to Riggs. She loves her adopted son with all of her heart, but thinks she didn't do her best in raising him. She always feels hatred towards herself when she sees the scar on his mouth, and wishes he would smile more. Nevertheless, she still is very happy to have become his mother, even if they aren't by blood.
Riggs would follow Cyrus to the end of time if they could. He's very grateful for Cyrus taking him in. He knows that he got a lot of his personality from his adopted father, and he's very close to Cyrus. He hopes to continue working by Cyrus' side and being his son.
Cyrus relates to Riggs in many different ways, which is the main reason why he took Riggs under his wing. He remembers when he walked around lost without any family, and seeing Riggs like that broke his heart. He loves Riggs like his own son, and he is always there to step up for Riggs, even though Riggs is bigger than him.
Riggs has a big soft spot for his adopted little sister. He's always there to look out for her and ready to play a game with her. He feels very touched to have Sakura for a little sister, and hopes she has a great future.
Sakura loves to be by Riggs's paws. She always asks him for help and, when Nanyo isn't around, pesters her older brother to play a game with her. She feels lucky to have gotten the big lion-like mothcat for her brother.
When they first met, Riggs was annoyed with Thyme. Why was this random bumblebun just following him around? What did he like about Riggs? Riggs couldn't answer these questions, as he grew older, he was constantly tripping over Thyme. Now, he's learned to live with the bumblebun, his self-proclaimed companion. Thyme gives Riggs a certain peace that he needs after a long day, and Riggs enjoys Thyme's company now. He would be lost without his little bun.
There was something about Riggs that Thyme liked. He can't explain what it is, but he wants to follow Riggs everywhere. Thyme likes Riggs quiet personality and calm nature, and he doesn't seem to mind when Riggs gets annoyed with him. As long as Thyme can stay by Riggs side, Thyme is fine with anything and everything.
Riggs would be lying if he said Lysander wasn't a handful. Maybe Riggs thought he and Demetrius would be as easy to care for as Sakura was, but he was wrong. Lysander exhausts Riggs whenever Riggs has to babysit him, and Riggs always has to find new ways to entertain his adoptive brother. He still loves Lysander very much, but wishes he would just give Riggs a break every so often.
Lysander knows that he drives Riggs nuts sometimes, and he's more than proud of it. He likes to play games with Riggs, and play pranks on him, too. At the same time, however, he actually looks up to Riggs as his older brother. Riggs would be the cat that Lysander would go to for advice and just to talk to. He'd probably have a hard time without Riggs.
Maybe it's because they were both orphans taken in by the same family, but Riggs is very close to Raidyn. He saw a lot in himself when he first found Raidyn, and doesn't want the mothkitten to have to live the same pain that Riggs had to before Cyrus came into his life. Riggs is more of Raidyn's legal guardian than Cyrus and March, which he's fine with. He'd do anything for little Raidyn to be happy.
Raidyn has an indescribable relationship with Riggs. Maybe it's because it was Riggs that saved him, or that they're both orphans. But he's very close to Riggs, like they were actually blood brothers. Even though they aren't, Raidyn likes to think they are. He never wants to be separated from Riggs, and is always seen with Riggs, whether it's between his legs, on his back, or just by his side.
Riggs is very close to Friday. The two have known each other since they were mothkittens, and have been inseparable since. Riggs very much loves Friday, and is very happy to have him as his boyfriend. Although they can get into silent glares of some unknown argument, Riggs can always forgive the silent mothcat in the end. He loves Friday a lot, and hopes they can stay together for forever.
Friday doesn't need words to express how much he loves and cares for Riggs. The impatient and two-faced mothcat has had to put up with Friday's wordless stares, with no emotion in his eyes, and can still handle him. Friday didn't think anyone like that would come one day. For that, he's very grateful to have Riggs around, and doesn't want to leave him.
