Aurore (Lux Messorem (DMC1))

PhantomAlpha

Profile

THERE ARE SPOILERS FOR DMC1 IN THE TEXT ON THIS PAGE

Name: Lux Messorem

Gender: Female

Species: Half-devil

Skills:

Abilities/Fighting Style: wip

Affiliation: Mundus, the demon world

Personality: A silent and merciless foe, Lux Messorem holds little of Aurore's cheerful exterior. Instead, Lux Messorem exists only to extinguish and destroy any who may rise against Mundus. Lux Messorem fights fairly, but isn't against using every resource she has within those bounds (tripping her opponent, not waiting for them to get up, etc. But she will never pull in outside help)

Story: wip. Lux Messorem is the version of Aurore that arose after she was defeated and enslaved by Mundus. For several years, Lux Messorem served Mundus, notably clashing with Dante and Umbra on Mallet Island. Multiple times, Lux Messorem was forced to battle her sister (who didn't recognize her due to the drastic changes), and was eventually defeated by Umbra. Sensing that Umbra had no intention to kill her, Aurore managed to break through to herself and impale herself on Umbra's sword Sin in order to stop herself from hurting Umbra any more. When Mundus was later defeated on Mallet Island, Mundus' hold on Lux Messorem's mind weakened, eventually allowing Aurore to regain control of herself once again.

Family: Umbra(Aurore's older identical twin)

Friends: Nelo Angelo(in a sense)

Enemies: Dante, Umbra(circumstantially)

Other:

-Does not speak

-Opposes Dante and Umbra on Mallet Island

-Lux Messorem is Aurore trapped in the armor

-Came into being mere seconds after Nelo Angelo did

-As slaves of Mundus, Nelo Angelo and Lux Messorem had few chances to interact outside of what was required of them. However, despite Lux Messorem's general grogginess regarding details from her identity as Aurore, Lux Messorem knows that Nelo Angelo is someone important to her

-Lux Messorem's mind is fairly foggy, she doesn't possess many of Aurore's emotions or memories

-Aurore hates Lux Messorem and almost outright refuses to think about her time as Lux Messorem

-Aurore is deeply ashamed of her actions and time as Lux Messorem, and as a result was unable to face Umbra after their battle

-Only as Somnia can Aurore finally make peace with Lux Messorem's existence

-Refuses to use swords. This is because Aurore doesn't want them tainted by Lux Messorem (as she has exclusively fond memories of using swords, such as when Vergil or Umbra tried to teach her to use them)

-A boss in DMC1

Design Notes:

-There are two sets of horns on her helmet(the smaller ones and the bigger ones)

-Everything save for that light purple on her face is armor

-Except for the cloak/cape. That's fabric, not armor

-The blue cracks/marks on her armor aren't exact, just know they're there

-Has her helmet on all the time, save for when Lux Messorem was defeated for the final time on Mallet Island OR when Lux Messorem shows up as an illusion/nightmare for Aurore

-The skull necklace is attached to the armor
