If there ever could be a justifiable use of the cruel term 'cull-bait' and if there ever was a more appropriate troll to call it than Dipter, that troll would be dead already!
Luckily, Dips an ace at shirking swatting highbloods and disgruntled Imperial Drones! Also luckily, he's pretty lucky in general.
Dipters mutations include a pair of useless membranous wings, fairly valuable rust psionics, a voicebox constantly purring at frequencies only trolls can hear and distorting his voice, an iron stomach, an unusually small stature, and vestigial grub-legs at his abdomen because he didn't quite molt right. Most of his mutations are developmental or vestigial traits from ancient trolls, although he's not aware of this himself. The young jade who tended to him was so happy that he managed to pupate at all that she let it slide.
Dip is kind and thoughtful, spontaneous, friendly and curious, but can also be absolutely gross, persistent and annoying. It's a balance of pitiable and hateable traits quite ideal in his culture!
