Tuh-Hoo

Look! At him!!! A little friend!!! Tuh-Hoo is a middle-aged brittlefloss whose days consisted of going to his corporate job, cooking dinner for one, watching sitcoms, and sleeping. Although Tuh-Hoo has always been a passive floss, his routine has seen much less variation ever since he divorced his wife. He found his ex passionately hugging another, and despite her pleading, Tuh-Hoo was firm in his resolution. Ever since the seperation was finalized, Tuh-Hoo had figured that that was enough change for him, and quietly decided that sticking to his routine is much less painful and scary.

Tuh-Hoo's life however, was drastically changed when his sister and brother-in-law died in a tragic accident. Despite Sigma's moon having fallen centuries ago, every now and then space debris still falls down in asteroid showers. It was during one of these events that his family was forever broken, when his sister and brother-in-law were struck direcly by asteroid while on an outing with their children. Both of the children survived, but the youngest, Harper, ended up mutating due to the radition the asteroid emitted. The two sisters were left in need of a guardian, and when Tuh-Hoo was made aware of the situation, he instantly stepped up. Regardless of how it disturbed his previous routine, Tuh-Hoo freely welcomed his nieces into his home and did everything he could to support them.

Despite describing himself as "not the sharpest tool in the shed", Tuh-Hoo is incredibly intelligent when it comes to others' emotions. He was able to help Harper navigate through her PTSD, grief, and newfound body dysmorphia, despite having to navigate some complex feelings himself. When Tuh-Hoo's other niece, Inchemina, would lash out at him, he would respond with nothing but endless kindness and patience. Their make-shift family has seen many ups and downs, but regardless, Tuh-Hoo is the glue that has held it together.

While helping his nieces adapt to their new life, Tuh-Hoo has found that he's been changing too. Instead of only living day-to-day, he's started making plans weeks if not even months in advance in order to better support Harper and Inchemina. Tuh-Hoo's found himself working less and trying new things, all at the encouragement of his little family. To noone elses' surprise but his own, Tuh-Hoo has realized that he is so much happier with his topsy-turvy life than he ever was living in monotony.

Additional Character Notes: Tuh-Hoo can be quite slow and has very little of what he calls "head-smarts". He tends to only have one thought in his head at a time, and has a really difficult time multi-tasking. Despite how bumbling and incompetent he may look to others, Tuh-Hoo will always do things to the best of his ability, regardless of how long it takes him. One of Tuh-Hoo's greatest strengths is his enormous heart, which leads him to empathize with and almost immediately understand any individual. He has a lot of great advice in that little brain of his, and he'll share it with anyone who needs it. There have been many-a-time where someone approached him hostilly and their encounter ended in hugging and smiles.
