Isabel is an incredibly hardworking woman, gaining a scholarship to Cornell through her fashion work and prowess in the sciences. She was a relatively well known fashionista pre-apocalypse, and even now designs in her free time. She's fiercely protective of those she cares for.

Isa has always been supportive and protective of Leia, even helping her transition when Leia first came to her about her identity. Isa knows Leia can handle herself, and takes care of her when she can't.
Initially unsure of Carter and his motives, Isa soon grew to love Carter as a father figure after he took her and Leia in. The two have their disagreements sometimes, but Isa still greatly respects Carter no matter what.
Initially meeting midst a territorial scuffle in which Isa narrowly missed shooting Arin, the two quickly got competitive. They banter often whenever either venture beyond the walls of their respective communities, bragging and constantly trying to one up the other. Maybe they've slept together once or twice. Who knows! Isa sure doesn't harbor any feelings for him.
