Raised in a tense work-oriented environment, Nix grew up as the quiet middle child, sharp cat-like eyes peering into your soul. They often write their feelings rather than express them, finding comfort in cafe settings.

Nix had come across Sparks one night after a bad jump, and offered him a place to sleep upon realizing Sparks was homeless and pretty injured. Sparks was incredibly apologetic for taking up Nix's time and space, awkward and embarrassed, and offered to do something to return the favor. Nix agreed, and asked to be shown around the city they were still new to. Sparks started helping Nix with their academics as well, and Nix helped fund a small studio apartment for Sparks to stay in with their parents money. The two quickly grew closer, each lonely and rejected by their respective families.
When the apocalypse started, Nix immediately made their way to Sparks' house, desperate for the sanctuary. Their family had been out of town - older sister at a prestigious university, and younger sister at a friends house while their family was overseas. Nix stuck to Sparks' side as long as they could. They couldn't let Sparks see them dying in the way they did.
Initially wary of the gruff teenager Sparks brought back to his apartment, Nix tentatively warmed up to Arin soon enough. He clearly needed the support, and seemed as disinterested in conversation as Nix was, thankfully. The two awkwardly grew closer, each trailing behind Sparks and finding guidance in him.
Upon coming across Tucker, Alex & Jayden, Nix was wary of the group. However, seeing how comfortable Sparks was with the group, Nix slowly warmed up and soon began hanging out with them more often. They prefer hanging out with Jayden the most.
