- After losing his arm and gaining a prosthetic from Bexley Union, he often decorates his prosthetic with stickers to try to brighten it up.
- Max was previously an Art major at Penn State.
- He smokes more than he'd like to let on, often using it to destress.
- Around 24 years old, Max gets a tattoo across his left shoulder of a marble-like ink. He soon crops his hair shorter afterwards, hair dye long since faded.
Just a city idiot trying to navigate the countryside. Main character? He'd rather be dead.

two met in high school, only a grade apart, and bonded quickly over their shared interest in the arts! Clyde was the first person Max thought to go to when the apocalypse started getting out of hand. The pair get into a lot of trouble somehow, completely unintentionally. They should probably stop meeting new people.
Max and Clyde came across the refugee when he knocked on their RV door in search of shelter and dinner, and gladly welcomed him into their traveling home. Max could tell a lot was on his shoulders, hidden behind his extremely guarded gaze, but decided he shouldn't press, hoping to simply help the kid feel comfortable and welcome. Max regrets letting him go off daily, wishing he'd instead sacrificed himself.
Max and Clyde only ran into a lonesome Ash conveniently right before a Columbus patrol caught the group unintentionally trespassing, and opened fire. The timing didn't look all too good for Ash, and Max was quick to jump to conclusions once they'd reached the safety of Bexley Union. Potential betrayal or not, though, Ash didn't deserve his fate.
Max really liked it behind Bexley's walls! Sure, they didn't listen to him when he tried to insist it was just a nasty bullet wound and promptly removed a good chunk of his arm, but safety first! And he got a cool prosthetic branded by Bexley's star insignia.
The attack the Brotherhood of Columbus launched on Bexley Union was nothing Max could have ever predicted. He feels awful for what transpired, though there's no way he could have possibly prevented it. Max tries to explain himself every time the former leaders catch him, unwilling to hurt them further, but they don't really seem keen on listening...
She was incredibly kind when Max and Clyde showed up on her doorstep! Even more gracious of her was allowing Max & Clyde to trade for her RV, giving up Max's minivan in return. Although her cannibalistic habits are a little odd...
They were all very helpful when the RV broke down, and even offered some extra gas and food! The black-haired one was pretty cute too... They seem pretty happy together. Max wishes he could have stayed longer.
