Profile
Oliver the Intern studies magical law at university and is currently doing an internship in a relevant place of employment - the Southern German MASCIU (magical and supernatural crime investigation unit) HQ.
He's serious and hardworking - if something of a bore sometimes - and most people like him a fair bit. Jaime thinks he's a terrible hipster prick though.
Also happens to be a trans guy - technically he's out, but it doesn't come up a lot. Gus knows, Jaime takes a year to catch on.
Presumably has a last name but Jaime refuses to use it and the moniker eventually catches on - he thinks it's "pretty funny, actually".
- Paperwork
- Retro stuff
- Green tea
- Cute vampires apparently
- Transphobic bullshit
- Conflict
- Adventure
Curly brown hair, brown eyes, John Lennon-glasses. Slight build, not very tall. Top surgery scars. Usually wears decidedly retro clothing with a fondness for 1980's business casual and muted colors. Oval face, slight freckles. Long, thin hands. Frequently has a pretty dour expression.
Quite friendly, albeit a bit too serious and sometimes very, VERY boring. Tends to approach things very logically; not fond of either conflict or adventure. Has a tendency towards developing unfortunate crushes, but handles them very gracefully.
Often comes across as rather shy and awkward - he really is awkward as hell, but not nearly as shy as he seems; merely quiet and introverted and not a fan of many words.
Oliver had a quiet childhood, despite being trans and realizing that fairly early; his parents were always supportive. His classmates weren't always that open-minded and he was always the odd one out, even when he wasn't outright bullied. It left him just a little bitter, but he's at ease with who and what he is and generally thinks that everyone with shit opinions can, frankly, bug off.
He studies Magical Law at university and is currently on his third internship at the MASCIU: The boss loves having him there because she can send him to help clean up the archives every now and then, which is actually useful because he learns things about old cases while doing it, and he genuinely enjoys it, too. Could do without the dust and the spiders, though. Meanwhile, he's got a crush-turned-friendship on Augustus von Langenstein and later becomes Elliot de Maudeville's boyfriend (they first bond over their terrible crushes on Gus, lol).
Eventually, he returns to the university to actually finish his studies instead of doing way too many internships, and eventually ends up as the MASCIU's resident lawyer and voluntary archivist, where he stays... well, essentially forever. He's very much okay with that.
