Climate
The Village of Hope’s Dawn is perpetually covered in fog. A gloomy place that the sun does not shine on often and surrounded by a thick dark chocolate forest. It is a temperate place that always has temperatures between 0c and 16c. The air smells thickly of mint year round as well.
Design notes
The village is constructed in gothic design with dark wrought iron and stained glass on every building. It is also built into the hills of the region with Wriedt manor overlooking from the cliffs above. Around the village will be stunning rock candy statues of threats vanquished by its stalwart Defender.
The moon has many of the same flora and fauna of the planet it orbits, in particular the Oozing Sugar Skull. There are also beasts that wander around the plant known as Solar Sabers, they are protected by the government of the village and act as additional protection of the village.
Backstory
Originally a gift to the Wriedt twins for their excellent performance within the Sweetical War from the king of Wickshire.
The two built a grand home from them to share but soon found themselves in need of a place for sweeticals abused and neglected by the Neo Asteroids to rest and no longer worry about their past.
With one twin left to reign, his word is law to the people he protects; although, he very rarely actually has to deal with any problems due to his staff as well as the defender of the village taking their job rather seriously.
People are welcome to come and go as they please, however, Hope’s Dawn is a place to find peace, and its protectors will do anything to protect that peace, earning it the reputation as a cursed place that people rarely return from.
Notable Residents
The founder of Hope’s Dawn. He originally meant it as a place for him to relax, but is more than happy with the safe hamlet it has become.
This minical is often seen flying around town, collecting packages and anything else those in the manor would like from town.
The ever loyal defender of Hope’s Dawn. He ruthlessly deals with any threats to the village and has more remorse for anything that attacks his home.
A glowing beacon to the people of Hope’s Dawn, Solar Sabers act as a replacement to the lack of sun. Their small forms are often seen as pets while the larger beasts act as defenders to the moon.
Cali is a resident of Hope’s Dawn Officially she is a maid at Wriedt Manor; however she is mainly the village's chief baker of pastries and other tasty treats.
The head of the Wriedt staff. The village looks up to her with her cool headed demeanor and thorough plans regarding the direction that the village should go.
She enjoys the limited population of the village when she goes out. Although, it is worth noting that she has not left the borders of the village since she arrived.
This Sweetical is usually in their room studying the habits of other sweetical, although they seem to spend just as much time with Gordon Stone. If one sees a golden statue, that is Tyrant’s doing…
She rarely goes outside the manors walls so almost no one knows that she’s there.
Neyeko normally goes into town instead of their mistress to get anything she might like; however, most of the time they remain at the manor to keep her company.
