Slightly paranoid and just a bit... off, xe once had an alien encounter and is convinced it gave xem psychic powers. Xe's obsessed with finding the aliens again and learning more about what they did to xem and why, convinced every supernatural spook is clearly alien-related, and suspicious of both powerful magical entities and anything that looks like the government while being fundamentally incapable of handling xemself in an inconspicuous way.
Xe's nervous about giving out xyr real name, identifying xemself only as "the Local Psychic," which has morphed into simply "Local" over the years spent on alien conspiracy forums and obscure UFO podcasts.
Local does get visions, can legitimately sense "auras," and has some very minor telekinetic power, but this takes a lot out of xem (xe faints, like, a lot).
Local also does in fact run a Psychic/Fortune-telling business out of xyr house as a day job, which is doing.... okayish. It turns out that actually being able to see the future is less helpful than you might think in this line of work (and significantly less necessary than Actually Being Able to Relate To Your Fellow Humans On Some Level).
