Rocket

Rocket is Ava’s partner Pokemon; they’ve known each other practically since birth and have been pretty inseparable ever since. Rocket is relatively laid-back and chill; they rarely put up much of a fuss and are almost never angry. Rocket sees themself as a protector, and they do their best to keep Ava and their other friends safe. When they aren’t able to do that, Rocket can quickly grow frantic, especially if they know that someone they love is in real danger–such as, random example, currently kidnapped. Although Rocket is strong, they are all too aware of their limitations, and often even the assumption that they can’t help is enough to paralyze them. Luckily, most of the time, the people who are important to them aren’t getting kidnapped or fighting a god or what have you. For the most part, Rocket is able to provide support simply by being there, no fighting required. Rocket was with Ava when she got kidnapped by a strange organization that didn’t take “no” as an answer when they demanded she hand over her research, after confronting her in the middle of the woods. Unfortunately, Rocket wasn’t nearby–they had been trailing Ava quite a ways back–and by the time they realized something was wrong, Ava had already been overpowered and subdued. Terrified, Rocket followed the kidnappers to their base, completely unsure of what they could do against so many humans with powerful Pokemon. They’re a good fighter, but they’re just one Pokemon. Luckily, they weren’t the only one who noticed Ava’s plight–Niko was there too, formulating a plan. That evening, Rocket subdued a pair of guards at one of the base’s entrances, and Niko stole one of their uniforms and slipped inside. Disguised, he was able to make it to where Ava was being held and free her, much to Rocket’s relief. The trio ultimately managed to escape, though it wouldn’t be the last time they encountered that shady organization…
