Name Meaning: A medium-sized long-tailed bird, typically with a gray or brown back and barred or pale underparts. Many cuckoos parasitically lay their eggs in the nests of small songbirds. Sometimes used derogatorily to call someone insane.

Relationships: Skylark (older brother)
Background: Back when they were both still dragonets, Skylar tried running away with Cuckoo due to the ostracization she'd been facing at home as a result of her firescales. This excursion was short-lived and the two returned with their heads hung after realizing they weren't equipped to survive on their own. They were promptly separated with Cuckoo being sent far away where she'd be "someone else's problem" while Skylar remained in the SkyWing Kingdom. They remained in contact through letters.
Personality: Does her absolute best to remain true to herself and others, thanks in part to her brother. Much like Skylark, she can be a bit naive at times and doesn't always consider the bigger picture when socializing—the difference lies in her ability to be polite about it.
Abilities: Firescales (This is when a dragon has "too much fire," causing their scales to be incredibly hot to the touch, and anything flammable to touch their scales will burn almost instantly. Dragons with firescales cannot burn flammable objects inside their mouth. Firescales are much hotter than the average dragon's fire, and cannot be harmed by IceWing frostbreath.)
