Zelda Leblanc, born someone else, grew up in a relatively normal  household in Quebec. She was the more low-key of the Leblanc twins. Given some internal turmoils she had yet to understand, she spent a lot  of her time reading and generally being happy to be the "good child"- especially given that it allowed her to start sneaking out without her parents noticing. Her nightly jaunts not only taught her how to defend herself, but would also expose her to an entire dimension of self-expression she hadn't ever considered, which eventually led her to realizing how to settle her inner disquiet. She began to socially transition as a young teen, picking the name Zelda after Zelda Fitzgerald, a figure who had fascinated her.

It was also around this time that she began to express herself as an artist- mainly through graffiti. Eventually, her works being covered up kickstarted an interest in chemistry, for the purpose of engineering paints that would resist such treatment. During the day, she would voraciously consume any kind of chemistry textbook she could get her hands on, while at night she would go out and practice her craft, honing both her experimental paints and her artistic skill.

Her eventual medical transition would be aided by Theodore's blooming career as a freelance thief, though she joked that it was something he was only using as justification to continue stealing. Regardless of the teasing, though, the two were fairly close. Zelda's transition was eventually discovered by their parents, who expressed disappointment, which only grew as it turned out to not be a phase of any kind.

Zelda's tags caught the attention of TFI during a job where she used subtle but distinct paint markings as guides for her brother's crew. What would look like normal defacement to an outside viewer could hold any number of meanings and physical properties for those who knew how to view and utilize them.

Eventually, Zelda, feeling the pressure of her parents and feeling the itch to forge her own path in the world, packed up her things and left  without a word to anyone. A few months later, she was hired by TFI for a few jobs similar to what she was used to. This arrangement brought in a good amount of cash flow before she was deemed interesting enough to be contracted full-time as a mercenary for TFI, joining the organization a few months before her brother's accident and subsequent recruiting.

Zelda, having come from a rather repressed upbringing, is feisty and unashamed as an adult. She can come off as rather blunt and tactless at times, though this is less out of active malice or ignorance and more out of a need to have her opinion heard without the risk of overshadowing. She's surprisingly open-minded, though, and will gladly respect nearly anyone so long as they extend the same courtesy to her. She's easy to rile, but doesn't frustrate as easily as her brother does. She really enjoys doing the same to others, but will back off if it gets too serious. Despite her high-self confidence she has little ego, and will easily apologize or admit to wrongdoing if it happens. She can speak French and English fluently and knows a little bit of ASL and CSL for her brother's benefit, as well as an entire "language" of tag symbols that she's invented.
