Background
Grew up on Kirikiya and is trained in outside ship maintenance. Has a brother, but not much other family to speak of. Has worked on a lot of different ships, but had a tendency to get fired, usually due to not following directions well. When Stilet was hiring they were rather desperate, but he turned out to be a good fit after al.
His job on the ship mostly consists of back-up and maintenance work. He is also their EVA expert, and is always the one to do jobs outside the ship. Him and Dutch usually work together.
Personality
Very energetic. easy going, merry-go-lucky and carefree. Can be very obnoxious, tends to say whatever comes to mind and likes to push boundaries and ignore consequences. He is however very private and closed off. People can have known him for years and still know very little about his personal life. Tends to be friends with everyone, however annoying one might find him. Loves meeting new people but is not a fan of commitment. Planning, staying still and the future all makes him very, very anxious. Is significantly more awkward than one might think when he drops the over-the-top act.

Dutch Best friends however unlikely as it seems. They work closely together, Gecko likes to push all of Dutch's buttons but somehow Dutch probably knows more personal information about Gecko than anyone else.
Jazz He was quite a bad influence on Jazz when they first met, and they often got in trouble together, and got Vik pulled into it too. Gecko took is extremely badly when they lost Jazz and got betrayed by Vik.
