Bisonfoot

Bisonfoot is a tall, muscular dark brown tabby molly who towers over most of her Clanmates. Her limbs are powerful, ending in heavy paws that can stun an enemy with a well-placed blow. Meanwhile, her thick fur provides excellent protection against the bitter cold of winter. Bisonfoot's eyes are a warm amber, and a yellowed fang protrudes from her bottom jaw. Most noticeably, there is a prominent hump on her back that adds to her imposing presence.

Despite her intimidating appearance, Bisonfoot is known for her gentle heart and unwavering loyalty to her Clanmates. She possesses a warmth that draws others to her, with many cats often finding solace in her presence. Bisonfoot has a natural affinity for kits and displays patience and tenderness when caring for them, earning her the admiration and trust of StreamClan’s youngest members.

However, beneath her friendly exterior lies a cat burdened by her own struggles. Although she serves as a pillar of support for others, Bisonfoot tends to internalize most of her issues, rarely seeking help or sharing her own burdens with her loved ones.

Her self-sacrificing nature is evident in every aspect of her life. Bisonfoot consistently puts the needs of her loved ones above her own, believing that their well-being is more important than her own happiness or comfort. She frequently takes on tasks that others shy away from, never hesitating to lend a paw or offer guidance to those in need. Though she is deeply caring and compassionate, Bisonfoot struggles to see her own worth, often downplaying her own achievements and contributions to the Clan.

Bison was born to Witch-Hazel, a member of a nomadic colony known as the Disciples. Her father was Archie, a kittypet whom her mother had met during her travels. As such, Bison was raised as a Disciple and fully incorporated into their ideology. They were known for their worship of an obscure plague deity, the Pestilence, and were led by a cat simply called the Cleric.

The Disciples had a dark history. Generations ago, their founder had angered the Pestilence, and in retribution, the deity unleashed a devastating plague upon the colony. To appease the vengeful spirit, the Disciples agreed to sacrifice a cat to it every year.

Life within the colony was governed by strict rules and regulations. Every aspect of life, from who was permitted to have kits to how much prey could be consumed and when, was meticulously controlled. Each member was assigned a specific role to serve the needs of the Disciples.

Bison's life took an unexpected turn when the Cleric selected her as a personal guard for her daughter, Lamb. Unbeknownst to Bison, Lamb had been chosen as that year's sacrifice, and it was Bison's duty to ensure her safety at all costs.

As Bison and Lamb spent time together, they grew closer and eventually fell deeply in love. Faced with the looming threat of Lamb's impending sacrifice, they made the decision to escape from the Disciples days before the ceremony. The two devised a plan to weaken the colony's guards by stuffing their prey with poisonous berries.

Their plan succeeded and they fled into the grasslands, determined to leave the Disciples far behind. During their journey, Bison discovered that she was pregnant with Lamb's kits. Despite their efforts to protect them, only one survived—a precious daughter they named Dahlia, after Lamb's favorite flower.

However, their happiness was short-lived. The Disciples eventually caught up to them, resulting in a violent confrontation. During the chaos, Lamb was ruthlessly murdered, Bison was gravely wounded, and Dahlia was torn from their grasp.

Now on the brink of death, Bison was rescued by her half-sister, Blush, who nursed her back to health. Together, they continued their journey, eventually finding refuge in StreamClan.

To this day, Bison carries the weight of uncertainty about Dahlia’s fate. She holds onto the hope that one day they will be reunited, but until then, she remains haunted by the memories of their shattered family.
