Backstory: Stevie was born a decade after his older brother, Charlie in Southern Korea to a middle-class family. Not long after his birth, his father up-rooted their family and ended up in Nantes, France. Even in his youngest years, his parents ran their house like drill sergeants. At younger ages, while Charlie attended school, So-hee would take care of him and when Charlie came home, So-hee dumped Stevie onto him so she could go to work her closing shift at a convenience store. It was rare for Edmund to come home because he worked as a doctor. If he did come home, he'd sprawl together some dinner so Charlie wouldn't have to give Stevie the most random things in the fridge.

His parents had been lenient on Stevie as a toddler and infant but that changed when he became old enough to start attending school. He joined his brother in the daily routines of waking up at 6 sharp and other useless rules. He excelled in his classes like his brother and it made his mother and father very proud. He made a couple of friends but they were never allowed to hang out outside of school. Charlie still would watch him after school. This norm continued into middle school, where Stevie started to become a little overweight. His father and mother started poking fun at his weight and trying to get him to exercise more. Charlie had become around the same, but being lighter. Stevie made a couple of good friends in middle school that he only kept in contact with two, Joseph Marchand and Alexandrian Lasalle. He also became good friends with his brother's bestie, Gabriel Naquin. When So-hee went to work, she would often force the boys to come with her and she'd drop them off at a gym and leave them there for hours on end until Edmund picked them up at nearly midnight.

In high school, he became even more depressed because the gym days just weren't working well for him. He did try to use the machines when he didn't have homework to do, but it became an issue as if P.E. wasn't hard enough for Stevie. Charlie had given up trying after a few weeks but did try to help his younger brother. They had become even closer in high school. Stevie was on top of his classes but his mother would always yell at him for not trying to become thinner. Stevie always pondered why it matter to have two fat sons. He graduated as valedictorian and immediately applied to all of the medical colleges he could find. He attended a college that was in Nantes, and still kept on top of his classes. Charlie helped him get his own apartment, and lived with him in the first year. He never noticed any of the people in his classes, except he have Alexandrian in a couple of them.

After he graduated college, sadly he did not graduate with a medical degree, Charlie helped him and Alexandrian get a job in his office and they worked in the same department. Stevie got his own single bedroom apartment. The office job had given him a change to become an alcoholic. One day, about 3 years after graduating college, he met a girl at a cafe that they had recognized each other from college. Her name was Charlotte Southwest and she was an American exchange student, hailing from Chicago. Charlotte took a liking to Stevie and they began dating after about 9 months. They continued dating for seven years. In those years, Charlotte and Charlie helped him recover from his alcoholism and when Charlotte got evicted from her own apartment, he took her in. He also had had a desire to start a medical company to make his parents even prouder. He slowly became the CEO of Delarose Industries, a leading emergency care and pharmaceutical company. He was able to support both of them with ease after a few years.

Charlotte was the one to propose to him, taken back, he accepted and thought to marry her only as sort of a joke, though found himself genuinely in love with this girl. After their wedding, Charlotte and Stevie bought a house in Nantes that was in one of those neighborhoods that the houses were the exact same. They continued their marriage without children for seven more years. Between that time, they acquired a roommate that was one of Charlotte's friends named Simon Pariseau. A contractor built an extra bedroom on the bottom floor with a personal bathroom for Simon. Around this time, news of Stevie's brother's suicide was turning Nantes on its edge. The reason was unknown but it sent Stevie into paralyzing depression for months. After he started getting over his depression, Charlotte had become pregnant. It was a good thing because she hadn't needed to work, and Simon worked from home and could take care of her. After Charlotte had their son, she named him Stephen, after Stevie. He had been overjoyed and took a few months to help Charlotte take care of their new kid then went back to working and getting home late.

When his son become school age, he started taking him to school in the mornings and picking him up after work. They ended up sending him to a private school that was always encouraging their boy to try to study as much as Stevie seemed like he had. Stephen was an average kid, which both of them enjoyed. Sometimes, Stevie would bring his son back to the D.I's office instead of home. He was able to watch his son become fascinated in sports. He'd watch TV and play games on computers. While Stevie was at the office making business deals with Alexandrian, Joseph and Gabriel, Charlotte would hang out at the house with their son and Simon would rarely ever leave. At the end of elementary school, Stephen had a dead set obsession with baseball. Stevie went ahead and signed him up for a little league to practice, and eventually watched him make the junior varsity team in 6th grade.

Around the time Stephen turned 13, Charlotte announced that she was pregnant again. This time was an accident. Charlotte became futile and refused to abort it, so Stevie just went along with her. A few months before the second child's birth, Stephen wanted to show off his baseball skills. Stevie and Charlotte accepted and watched him, he ended up throwing the bat right into his mother's stomach. Stephen's younger sibling was deemed to be perfectly fine, but still beat himself up over it and Stevie was pissing angry. Stephen received a little brother who got named Chauncey. Because of the baseball blow to Chauncey's head inside the womb, he would have severe nosebleeds every now and then for the rest of his life. Stevie began scolding Stephen for things, and started to feel a bit more like his own parents. Stevie took a few months off to focus on his other boy.

Stevie started to become weary from working and would go to work in the afternoons. Thus, he would come home in the middle of the night. As the years passed and Stevie got older, he became unable to sit at a desk for hours a day so his workdays became short. His wife also became older and their movement started to be a bit more limited which made taking care of their infant child harder. When he came home, he'd often see Stephen carrying around his baby brother. Eventually, Stephen commenced being protective of Chauncey. After Chauncey turned 3, Stevie and Charlotte decided to move again. They bought a mansion on a hill overlooking Nantes. Life was pretty much the same, and Chauncey was starting to break away from his brother and doing things on his own. Stevie had a gigantic office in their new house and ended up doing work from home unless it was an emergency. They hired a staff, being around the same time Simon got let go, so Charlotte begged Stevie to hire him.

Chauncey was noticed as to be smart and kept trying to get Stevie's attention.
