"Everyone wears a mask, some are just easier to see through" 

Backstory

- Elora was born to Knuckles The Echidna and Rouge The Bat, she was an   accidental birth, but neither of her parents regret her birth and love   her very much.

- As a child, Elora could never stay in one place   for to long or else she’d get agitated and just like her mother she  had a  fascination for anything shiny and would often beg her mother to  take  her treasure hunting with her, wanting to be just like her mom.  Hoping  to get some of this energy out of her, her father would train  with her  and teach her how to defend herself against creeps or anyone  else who  might want to cause her harm

- When she was in middle  school she  met a girl who seemed to be almost exactly like her and the  two  instantly clicked named Dove Grace. Their teachers would often joke  that  they were secretly somehow twins who were separated at birth  because of  how alike the two were.

- In high school, Elora and  Dove only  had one class together much to their disappointment, but the  two hung  out as much as they could after school and / or on weekends.  Half way  through their freshmen year a new girl came to their class  named Brooke  The Inkdrian. The young girl was very shy and anxious and  would mostly  keep to herself. Elora seeing the young girl all alone at  lunch decided  to go over and introduce herself. At first Brooke was  hesitant, not  trusting Elora, but Elora wouldn’t let up and quickly  gained the girl’s  trust. Elora invited the girl to come sit with her  and Dove and since  that day they three had become best friends all  throughout high school.  The three often talked and dreamed about going  on adventures and  treasure hunting together, and Dove already had an  idea for their team  name, Team Dream.


- During Elora’s  junior year, Dove  mysterious disappeared without a trace and hadn’t  been heard from since.  This of course upset her and Brooke greatly, but  neither gave up hope  that one day they would be reunited with their  friend.

- Senior  year another new girl named Rue The Red Panda  joined their school, but  unlike Brooke, Rue was a trouble maker who had  been expelled from her  last school. Why? No one knew. There were only  rumors, and they weren’t  pretty. Rue was in a few of Elora’s classes  and was always cursing out  other students and back talking the  teachers, and didn’t make any  friends. So after two weeks of Rue being  in the school having no  friends,   just like with Brooke around lunch  time when Rue was sitting  by herself Elora went over and introduced  herself. At first the red  panda ignored her, but Elora didn’t leave,  instead she put her hands  behind her back and waited there patiently  rocking back and forth on her  feet with a kind smile, until Rue snapped  at her and told her to go  away. Instead of leaving Elora titled her  head to the side and asked her  why she insisted on being alone and  wasn’t trying to become friends  with anyone. When Rue replied with she  didn’t need any friends Elora  couldn’t help but bust out into laughter.  With Rue now glaring at her  Elora forced herself to stop giggling and  quickly said she was sorry,  but she couldn’t help but laugh because  that was stupidest thing she  ever head. Rue didn’t reply, so Elora told  her that she would leave her  alone for now, but she swore that she  would help Rue get a friend then  went back to eat with Brooke. Every  chance she got she would catch Rue  in the hallway, at the beginning or  the end of class and try talking to  her and eventually Rue caved and  told Elora she agreed to be friends.  Elora couldn’t help, but squeal  and hug her.

Unfortunately for  Elora when she tired to get Rue  and Brooke to be friends they both  refused since they neither liked the  other for different reasons. Brooke  even accused Elora of trying to  replace Dove which of course wasn’t her  intention. Elora kept trying to  get the two to get along, but nothing  she did worked. So imagine her  surprise when one day she walked into the  one class her, Brooke, and  Rue all had together and found the red panda  and the Inkdrian sitting  together, talking and laughing. Though she was  confused, Elora just  smiled, sat with them, and joined in their  conversation. She never  found out what happened that made the two become  friends, but she  didn’t care, she was just glad her two best friends  were now getting  along.  

- After high school, Elora and Brooke  decided to  fulfill their dream and asked Rue if she would want to join  them which  of course she did. Elora wanted to keep the same name for  their team in  honor of Dove, but Brooke quietly protested saying that it  just didn’t  feel right and wasn’t fair to Rue, not wanting to make her  feel like  she wasn’t as good as Dove. So together Elora, Rue, and Brooke   brainstormed at Brooke’s house and settled on their new team name, Team   Gem.
