Computer Stickman

"Then I feel like a pet store parrot ever spouting words!"

Bubbly, energetic, and incredibly naive, Compman is just the epitome of a child. He is very upbeat, and is always up to something, whether it be playing pretend, talking with his family, playing games, reading, drawing, or taking photos. He is very kind at heart, though that kindness is usually overpowered by his energy and brashness. All he does is done with no harmful intentions, though his actions can be misinterpreted as rude or obnoxious. 

It's a tough line to cross for his family (mostly Dave), to tell Compman the truth of serious and sensitive issues, or to keep him happy as he is. While his naivety makes him seem like a cute and pure child, it has it's downfalls. He never was really taught proper edicate, to be conscious of other people, and to be careful and not to prod in sensitive topics. Compman loves being the center of attention, usually talking loudly, interrupting conversations, and not taking in tone or other subtle actions to stop. He will also be insensitive to touchy subjects, like making jokes about Dave's lack of an arm and Rick's appearance. Though he means no harm, and the family knows it, they still won't correct him besides simple "no"s and by playing things down.

Later though, Dave has to step in and teach Compman about the things going on, not in particular detail, but enough to get him to understand. He is very understanding and takes the lessons in stride, though actually applying them and stopping habits is the hard part.

Character Notes and Development

Compman is most certainly my most cherished, and one of my oldest characters. He's like a part of me. He's gone through many storylines and now has ended up in Defective by Creation! One storyline in the past I am reworking to fit in with the current one though. 

He's been with me for 5+ years, and been through all my development with art and my styles! He is incredibly close to me, being one of my main OCs for almost 5 years when I've gone through so much development and so much change. I've drawn him SO MUCH, like, though all this time I've been drawing him constantly, and whenever I doodle with nothing in mind to draw, he's always the first thing I make. He's been the face, and name, of my accounts since I ever got into the internet, and originally was supposed to be me, or I was supposed to be him. Either way he's obviously not that now, I have my own sona meant to represent myself, and he has a whole new character. He's almost my mascot in a way, and though he doesn't represent me myself, I do wanna keep using him as the face of my accounts since he's always been that!

Compman was the start of all my "stickman" ocs, obviously he started off as a stickman, a real traditional stickman, and I've never changed the stickman part of him. Though the stickmen I draw now are a lot more human like, he's the one that developed them that way! I also have him to thank for me trying out drawing more realistic and human bodies, and my development in that drawing area! He's why I consider stickmen an original species, I took the idea of a "stickman" and ran with it for all these years, slowly developing traits and quirks, now with all the complex details and races I have for them. For most of that time I never knew people drew stickmen like I do, with thicker and more realistic bodies, but I've never seen anyone make them like I do. I have all this with Compman to thank!
