About
Kathi was created with her unusual markings on her body, and arrived to the cliffside after following Barbra one day. She cut her hair, and Compman made her a flower crown that she treasures very much. She grew very attached to Compman, being the first person to really do things with her. She does everything Compman does, draw, play pretend, watch tv, make up stories. She blocks out everything that happened before she arrived there, being as fun and loving as Compman, or tries to be. She's not as naive as she makes herself out to be.
- Species - Stickman
Stickmen are NOT human, the fact that they have no noses or ears or toes is not a part of my art style. It's kind of like an original species, though I know a "stickman" isn't an original concept.- [More about stickmen here]
- Race - Jenian
"I’ll cut my hair.
To make you stare.
I’ll hide my chest,
And I’ll figure out a way to get us out of here."
Backstory
Kathi was created with her peculiar markings on her body, after Mother Caisel left the position of caretaker of the newly created children. Her markings didn't hinder her in any way, so she was not called a defect. Kathi was part of one of the first classes under the new caretaker. The new caretaker didn't care as much as Caisel ever had.
Because of Kathi's markings, she was terribly picked on by the other kids. "She looks like a wrong answer somebody tried to erase but couldn't quite get the job done!" "They taped a sign to the front of her desk that read "Beware Of Dog"" they compared her markings to that of an animal. Because of how children created in the world are raised, she didn't have any refuge to go to, no parents, she lived with her class and careless caretaker. She did find refuge in one person though. A quiet, shy boy, that also tended to get bullied. They stuck together, though the bullying only got worse and worse. Kathi used to be beaten because "the bruises matched the rest of her body" and the kids "wanted to see if the different colors left different marks". She was only about 12, a year before she was meant to graduate.
One night, in her dorm, which she shared with her only friend and some other classmates, she found her friend. The bullying had gotten so bad for the both of them they could hardly take it anymore. On that night, Kathi came across her friend's dead body hanging from the ceiling fan. He had killed himself. She screamed, she cried, and in her agony and desperation she tried to pull him down. Oh, how lucky it was that some kids came to check in on what was happening. "Oh no! Mother, Mother! Kathi set up her own friend's suicide! We found her tugging on the body! Come quick!" This was the end of the line for Kathi. She could never escape her personal hell that everyone around her made for her. Her "caretaker" never cared, and now, she was going to be killed for her own friend's suicide that THEY caused. There was something that compelled her though.
She broke the window behind her and went through, falling from the second story to the ground. She ran, she ran away from the place that was meant to take care of her and raise her just like the thousands and thousands of children before. She lived on the streets for a good while, some people helping her now and again. Her hair grew long, midway down her back. She slept in alleys just trying to get a meal and live for the day. One of these days, a kind young lady with orange curly hair found her one day. She gave her more than anyone else did. She was so kind, she stayed with Kathi, even let her be around her own home. One day, she secretly followed Barbra to the edge of the sector, and entered through the closing barrier behind her.
What a wonderful little town down there! Those people look so nice! Barbra is getting along with them very nicely! So she went down to meet them.
