History

Malka's mother.

Hannie is a cheerful demon enchantress of the Hell Realm. She always tries to give people the benefit of the doubt, and can sometimes be pretty gullible. Despite her cheery demeanor, her sympathy for others is often faked, though- at least she acts sympathetic- for the other person's sake. At least there's that!

With this being said, she does truly love her boyfriend/partner in crime: Zekiel, though she isn't quite certain if he loves her back 'truly'. 'Truly' being, that since their first meeting many years ago, she's been enchanting him into thinking that he loves her. Since that day, he's been following her wherever she decides to take them, and does everything and anything she asks of him. She's never had such a powerful enchantment ability before, and it feels good!

Zekiel's own enchantment powers, power up her own abilities, making her 'love spell' much stronger than it actually is. And Zekiel can't control his ability enough to turn it off, therefore it's always on (probably why his eyes glow so brightly all the time, Hannie is certain). Thus, upon meeting him, he increased the power of her love spell- which in turn, enchanted him into loving her. She values having him, not only as a power up for her own abilities, but as a soulmate. They are compatible with one another- which is a rare occurrence with demons, and is considered a truly special bond to have. The two really do get along well- and are always sharing inside jokes, cuddling or hanging off one another as they travel.

To Hannie, she finds a bit of hollow sadness in knowing that Zekiel would no doubt leave her if she didn't enchant him all the time. That their 'love' is essentially fake. But it's been like this with everyone she's ever met and she's used to this. She does her best to ensure that Zekiel is happy, and likes her for who she is, though when she turns her enchantment off, he can be quite mean and snappy- so she turns it back on ...

She doesn't like to hear yelling, and any anger directed at her gives her a lot of anxiety and panic. She's terrible with confrontation and likes to keep the situations, and people, around her as calm and chipper as possible. She doesn't like physical fighting, though if the need arises, Zekiel is always ready to swing a few punches for her, and she loves that about him.

Hannie can turn her enchantment on and off at will, although it takes some concentration on her part, particularly when Zekiel is nearby (and he is ALWAYS nearby, she fears that if she separates from him and her enchantment disappears - he'll leave without saying goodbye and they'll never see each other again).

---

During their travels they discover a portal stone- which is an incredibly rare object- that could very well be the last one left, that allows them to escape Hell into another realm, without the aid of a FireLord's (Hell's Kings) portal gate. And the fire lords would NEVER let anyone leave Hell, threatening to obliterate anyone who dares attempt. With this also known, if any demon escapes Hell, (they will eventually get killed in the realm of life, and RETURN to Hell at some point or another), those found guilty of escaping- will be destroyed from existence. A permanent death, to those already dead. Hannie sees this portal stone as a new start. She will be fine! She will never return to Hell, because she just won't die! Simple as that! - And of course, Zekiel would be with her to protect her too!

Zekiel however, quietly voices his concerns about leaving Hell, as he's not keen on the thought of being destroyed if they do end up dying some how. He's hesitant to disagree with her on something, because he loves her, but he really does not want to go!

Hannie considers it: leaving him behind, and letting him go. She considers it for his sake, because she loves him and doesn't want to make such an important decision for him, that would effect his very existence... she considers it, but only for a moment.

The thought of entering a new realm, and being without him, absolutely crushes her. How could she enjoy life, if she didn't have anyone to live it with? She'd come to enjoy his company too much, and to just say goodbye forever was out of the question for her. Though Hannie could see Zekiel was visibly upset about leaving Hell behind, she assured him they would never need return, and that so long as they were together, so long that he stays with her, they would protect each other and live forever! And with that, the two used the (possibly last) portal stone, and entered a realm of life.

-----

When the two of them escaped Hell together, and enter the realm of life- Hannie comes to realize after a few encounters with some human children- that she wants a child of her own. No children are ever born in Hell, and no demon is ever a child- in particular, the concept is quite foreign to Zekiel and Hannie, but with the help of some nice village folk (also frightened and confused village folk, because... there are two demons standing there asking them how to make children!), they eventually get the gist of this 'infant' thing... Thus, Malka is born!

Hannie picks up parenting right away- or at least she thinks she does. She spoils Malka rotten! Wanting her cute little creation to have the world- he deserves the world!

Zekiel tries to tell her, as nicely as he can, that she's 'spoiling' the boy with all her love, that he needs some discipline sometimes and can't have everything and anything he asks for all the time- but Malka is the first person to look at her with true, endearing love in his eyes, with no enchantment necessary on her part! With this being said, both Zekiel's enhancing enchantment and Hannie's love spell, does not seem to affect Malka at all. For the first time in her existence, Hannie feels actually loved... real love directed at her from someone she wasn't enchanting! And with this realization, she knows she would die for Malka, if that need ever arises.

And she does...
