Orim

  The tired but loyal navigator of the crew. She honestly didn’t think she’d have hung around, but the crew became family somehow. Well, and she’d be bored if she left.

  Orim didn’t have much goin’ on in her town. She worked a calm ranch with her parents. It was boring yeah, but it was nice. Till wild animals got more hostile. They broke fences and killed livestock. It was something, but she wasn’t allowed to help deal with it at all. Over time, she still isn’t allowed to help, but she’s given a different job. She becomes town runner. They gave her a bike and a map, and told her the trade routes. Like the pony express but with a hoverbike. It was thrilling for a bit. The wind and the speed.

  But even that lost its glow of excitement. It was always the same paths, the same route. The same warning. “Don’t go out at night and only do your job.”

  The wild animals were ruining the town. But that stopped. One night the damage was less and that morning, some kids her age walked into the dusty town. There was a rough but elegant look about them. They said they’d handle the beasts for a price, and the town agreed faster then they ever before.

  Orim was curious as to how these kids would handle it, so snuck out. She watched them fight the beast, the one that had called himself Sar Tela lifted a staff, and fire rained down on the animals. Turning them into hide and charred meat.

  She hops out of her hiding place and requests to be taken away from this boring life. So, Sar and the Hylotl change the price to be Orim coming with them. The adults had a bit of an issue, but Orim said she wanted to go. So they let her, hey, cheaper for them.

  She gets bored easily and hates routine. She might find her crew-mates irritating as well. They are so loud. But no matter how annoying they are, she stays. Cause this pirate/mercenary life barely has routine. 

  Sar got her another bike, this one was different. Muud had made change to it as well. It could handle hills, had more speed and control, and could go over water. She spends hours on a planet sometimes, just driving as fast as she can.
