Harvey has a way with words. He's very charming, suave, and loves to flirt and get on well with people. Unfortunately, his playfulness and selfishness can strike a nerve with quite a few people. He love to act and dress fancifully. He has very foppish mannerisms. He's well-read and quick witted. 

History

Harvey moved over to the north of England from Ireland. He didn't come from the most well-to-do family or anything. They were simply middle class and with the effects of the famine, Harvey needed to get out of there and fast. Especially because the atrocity didn't suit his way of life. Harvey always loved fanciful things and presenting himself well. Through and through, he has always been a dandy. He wasn't suited for work, but he did what he had to to provide for himself. 

He met a lovely girl by the name of Catherine with a well-to-do family and nearly fell in love, but of course, Harvey was never a marrying type, so even after getting her pregnant, he still didn't propose. He loved the freedom. Eventually, his son was born, Raymond, and even though he was his bastard, he still let his son into his life. He even let Raymond take on his surname in order to not disgrace him or his mother's family, which after everything he had done wasn't as selfless as he could've been. But he's not going to compromise his whole life and lose his freedom! 

He may be a father, but he was never considered much of a "family man." As a single father, he still has connections to his son and to Catherine. He still wanted to be apart of their lives even if he wasn't going to take on all the responsibilities. 

Now Harvey is unemployed and enjoying himself thoroughly. Some people say he is getting too old for being a dandy and a layabout, but he doesn't care. He's having a good time. He still believes he is in his prime.

He reaches out to Raymond and asks his son to travel with him.

His son. They are complete opposites, but Harvey wants to be in his son's life. He knows he annoys him a lot, but he doesn't give up. They get into a lot of arguments.

His ex. Mother of his son. Their relationship is complicated. They still act like friends most of the time even though they practically ruined each other's lives.

Despite wearing his age, he dresses the same, has the same haircut as when he was younger because he doesn't acknowledge that he's aging despite his wrinkles and Raymond's insistency that he is.
