Valerie having joined team rocket route they soon rose through the ranks, and became part of one of the organization's elite groups. In this time team rocket sought out legendary pokemon powers and wanted to capture them. They were in the group that headed out to capture Giratina. After a long rigorous journey and battle with the pokemon on Turn back Cave and Sendoff spring Giratina was captured and confined. Valerie was sent to guard and supervise the facility in which team rocket had kept Giratina, one day however the constrains malfunctioned and Giratina was freed. Before it escaped into its distortion world it opened a portal to a separate reality and it sucked all the grunts into it, taking Valerie along with them. The portal left the grunts stranded in a dark alien place there was no sun, no seasons, only darkness and bio-luminescence of the strange space beasts. Many of them got lost after some time, and those who survived lost their passage of time whilst encountering the brutal new alien landscape and its ruthless biodiversity that call this place home. They slowly lost their state of mind.
Walking about the surviving group saw a huge beacon of light pointing to the dark sky emanating on the horizon and hurried to it. Once reached they encountered a voracious Necrozma and battled it in its rage, many perished and were absorbed others were left partly or fully blinded and scarred from the fight. In the wake of the battle it was revealed other team rocket agents were behind the beacon, trying to bait Necrozma in its realm to capture it, It quickly fled after the fight ensued but the rocket grunts were astonished at discovering four surviving members in the aftermath. They quickly rescued them and sent them back to the rocket HQ. Valerie and their pokemon became unhinged from this experience but kept their loyalty to team rocket, believing now more than ever in its new plans of "the rainbow rocket takeover"
Current Occupation: Presently supervises and commands an elite rainbow rocket group of their own
Post rescue Valerie can be seen as disconnected from current reality and often makes empty dead panned expressions. They can be expressive however its only contrary or uncommon to what the situation calls for. Laughter for them has turned into mumbles under hushed breath. Mournful news are met with unnerving grins. Still they give blunt orders with seemingly no sense of protocol and yet effective. When grunts find them talking alone loudly Valerie claims to be talking to the things they see the through their blinded eye and to let them finish their "scouting" . Valerie will spout strange noises (like ultra beast cries mimics) if they stay in dark lit rooms a lot.
When talking to Valerie and their Blacephalon is nearby it is significantly more friendly and readable (even to human standards) than post ultra space Valerie. It seemed pretty synchronized to them and likes to be noisy and charade Valerie's feelings in conversations with the rocket personal. So many people under Valerie's command have learned to look at Blacephalon for understanding the emotional state and communication cues of their boss.
Valerie's two pokemon that survived Necrozma are slightly less responsive and more feral and territorial of strangers but still hold a strong bond with Valerie. Perhaps even stronger Valerie does not need to command those pokemon as they are synched to each other (Dino, Luci). Compared to their newer team members given by the rocket HQ (Electivire, Golurk and Flygon)
While in Ultra Space Valerie met a friendly shiny Blacephalon. It took a real liking to Valerie's charisma and often tried to cheer them up with a dance or demonstration. It served as a crucial guide for Valerie's group of survivors to survive the alien world they were in.
It came with Valerie to Earth when they were rescued and is often outside of its beastball entertaining the rocket personal, except many of them do not get the warped humor of this ultra beast and end up being scared out of this world especially when it blows up its head.
