Zacchi is a quiet workaholic and prefers to keep to himself, but he’s tends to wear his emotions on his sleeve. He’s uncomfortable and anxious in most social situations, though he doesn’t let that get in the way of doing things he needs to do and can have a surprisingly commanding presence in emergencies.

Though not purposefully secretive in most instances, Zacchi is private and guarded by nature, and it takes a long time for him to open up to new acquaintances. At the same time, he has no patience for lying (and is also very bad at it) and will be firm about shutting down conversations he finds to be invasive or prying.

He's a little bit very tsundere with people close to him, but he knows he isn’t fooling anyone.

After a bunch of Bad Things Happen, Zacchi flees his lifelong home in Lihiel and ends up in Daranant, a small Dahlian shepherding town near Haevelin's northern border. Despite his insistence that he has lost his license and no longer has a right to practice medicine, he gives into the townspeople's need for a local doctor, and accidentally settles there. For a while.
