The Forest of Fears is known to induce hallucinations of your worst fears and eventually convince you to commit suicide. Hence, there is quite a number of decomposing bodies hanging up in the air. However, Pinocchio had a severe flaw, he tended to imitate nearby human's personalities quite easily. Initially, he was compassionate and able to stop people from taking their own lives before it was too late. However, over the centuries, with countless suicidal deaths, Pinocchio's personality has degraded into one that is a culmination of his "friends" in the forest: emotionless and desperate to feel once again.

Pinocchio has forgotten what it was like to be human again, and is entrapped in an endless cycle of death and numbness. He imitates his friends by continually jumping off the trees with a noose tied to his neck. But to no avail, he couldn't achieve what his friends had. He just wanders around the forest, hoping to stumble upon another wanderer. He simply watches them and if necessary will comply to what they ask, as a product of his obedient nature. If they ask him for the way out, he will lead them out. If they asked him for death, he will lead them out, too.
