Scorpio

The definition of silent but deadly, Scorpio is a master of Void magic via his poison ability, imbuing all of his weaponry with a corrosive touch. Get on his bad side and he will take your life, but get on his good side and he will protect you with his own. Heavily entwined with the fate of Ophiuchus, Scorpio shoulders a lot of the blame thrust upon his former mentor, rendering him reclusive at best to anyone other than Scutum and (eventually) Cassie. Though not imprisoned for his involvement, Scorpio harbours a lot of resentment towards Ophiuchus's betrayal and seeks revenge. As Cassie walks the path of the Starglass like Ophiuchus had, Scorpio becomes increasingly protective of her, fearing that she too will fall to its power.

Personality: Cold, aloof and quiet. His appearance and movement are deliberately intimidating, with his steely glare usually being enough to ward off anyone who comes near him. And if it doesn't, his myriad of dangerous weapons will, particularly the blades in his gauntlets. When Scorpio does speak, his words are sharp and to the point, much like his weaponry. He has little time for flowery language or over-the-top gestures, though sometimes a touch of extra finesse comes out in his sleek, ninja-like combat style.

Very rarely do you notice him entering a room, meaning he could appear behind or beside you at any moment, though sometimes this effect is unintentional. He spends a lot of his time perched on high places, scanning for any signs of Ophiuchus, and moves swiftly yet silently. Outside of annoyance or anger, outward emotion is pretty rare for Scorpio, and any expression he does have is extremely subtle. He is also incredibly distrusting, quick to dismiss anyone who encounters him, and usually viewing them as nothing more than nuisances that are in his way. Even with his acquaintances, he is quick to end the conversation as soon as possible.

Despite all of this, however, Scorpio has a surprisingly delicate touch when it comes to his healing magic. Though he may not have the best "bedside manner" when it comes to addressing the injuries of his fellow constellations, he is thorough in his examination and will not rest until it is finished. This is one of the few times where others can see a more caring side to Scorpio, however brief it may be. Despite what he'd tell you, Scorpio's attitude hints at a deeply rooted loneliness, and he keeps close the few friends he has. He is a bit softer around them, though he still maintains his fierce loyalty to them as well, willing to make great sacrifices on their behalf.
