Scutum

An impenetrable shield and immune to void magic, Scutum's laid-back and goofy attitude contrasts with Scorpio's cold and serious demeanour. He can change forms at will, but is prone to getting stuck if he stays a shield for too long. Exposure to light magic or simply being in the close vicinity of other constellations can help him get unstuck.

True to his namesake, Scutum is far more focused on protecting others than himself, and serves as Cassie's shield until she can fend for herself. Outside of that however, Scutum is also a reliable friend and confidant, serving as one of the few spirits that Scorpio trusts most of all. His abundant optimism may be largely due to his own invulnerability, but it's not an act either, nor is it born from arrogance or overconfidence. He can be as much of an emotional support as a physical one, and likes to be the kind of guy one could confide in without any judgement or doubt. He doesn't take himself or the world too seriously, and tries to find the fun wherever he can. If he can't protect you from your troubles, he'll at least try to cheer you up while you go through it.
