Zircon, AKA ZR, is a blessed individual that uses they/them pronouns exclusively.
Raised from birth in Seattle, Washington, ZR grew up surrounded by the tech and music industries. The city lights and encompassing rich culture have imprinted themselves onto their brain, greatly influencing their tastes and values over the years. They are fortunate enough to have grown up in a stress-free environment with deep pockets, and very little real struggles, but despite the inherent danger of their class privilege, their heart is far from barren. Perhaps it is the engagement with online communities from a young age, or the intersection of their identities - whatever the case, they have dedicated themself to being charitable and using their privilege for good wherever they are able to, including their hobbies. A self-described member of the furry community with a little too much free time, they pride themself on their status as a growing internet icon known for their top-notch gameplay as well as their recognizable snow leopard fursona, and frequently run and sponsor charity streams.
ZR's gaming escapades are where the majority of their friend group originates from. They always have had issues with making lasting friendships, which makes them all the happier that their current friends have stuck around for as long as they have. When one of said friends finally has time to spare in between therapy and college, they jump on the chance to meet up with them at a secluded gift shop in a nearby small town. It's been a fantasy of theirs to take someone on a ride on one of their motorcycles, and the thought has their mind buzzing. On the day of, they remain optimistic on their drive, but a large forested area near their designated meetup locale somehow sticks to the more worrisome parts of their mind. It's as though they've been there before, but they know for sure they haven't. But it still stays, the thought itself practically alive as it begins to gnaw slowly at their glowing hopes for the meeting.

ZR is a quirky individual that's easy to get along with, but difficult to become close to.
Diagnosed at an early age with ASD and ADHD, they have always had difficulty connecting with others. Their methods of communication vary greatly from most other people they've spoken to, which has often posed a problem for forming lasting connections. Having been interpreted anywhere from heartless to stuck-up, over time, they have adopted a more personable mask to protect themself, at the expense of their own social stamina.
All of ZR's issues with socialization go out the window, though, when engaging with the people and things they love. Get them going, and they'll be chatting a mile a minute in your face about whatever's on their mind. Their racing thoughts lend well to their streaming hobby, giving them a humorous edge and fun vibe with their audience. This has given them the online reputation of being quite a jokester, and they admittedly do love cheering people up with their silly quips.
The few friends that ZR has, they would lay down their life for. Loyalty is one of their strongest values, and it's ride or die with them! On the flip side, they can be very, very stern with their friends, their loyalty extending deeply into a desire to see their friends thrive. Boundless pools of empathy to draw from have them fully invested in their friends' emotional states, often to a fault. They are prone to worrying themself sick over their loved ones, quite literally! Their desire to protect can also cause them to split very heavily on anyone who hurts said loved ones, and leads them to do and say rash things. In the end, though, their heart is in the right place, and it's tough to argue with them.
ZR tends to wear their heart on their sleeve, and is a terrible liar. If something's bothering them, you'll know. They refuse to unload on strangers, though, and have a habit of biting their tongue and trying to keep their feelings to themself. Selfless to a fault, they experience a lot of guilt, and RSD can cause them to prioritize the wellbeing of everyone aside from themself, not wanting to seem like a terrible and selfish person.
Bottom line is, ZR makes a wonderful friend! They're not perfect, and there's some habits that could use some correcting, but they obviously care very deeply and desire to do good and be of use to others. Unless you share their interests, though, don't expect anything beyond a brief casual conversation!
BLESSING OF MAGNETISM
ZR's primary blessing gives them some control over electromagnetic radiation. At their whim, they can magnetize and demagnetize any object with a metal in it, and manipulate the magnetic fields of themself and others, to an extent. Due to their blessing's nature, they are always magnetized to a certain degree, and can not fully demagnetize themself. This allows them to manipulate magnetized objects with ease, but also has the unintended side effect of causing horrible feedback in their brain from stray electromagnetic waves. Without their helmet, which acts like a Faraday cage, they pick up on all nearby signals, from cosmic radiation to nearby radio stations. They also have an innate compass, but this does not function when they are wearing their helmet.
BLESSING OF ACOUSTICS
The secondary blessing that ZR possesses gives them control over a different form of radiation - acoustic radiation. With this blessing, they are able to magnify and dull local vibrations that fall within the natural perception range of any living creature. Their hearing, as a result, is impeccable, and their ears are incapable of being damaged by acoustic waves, rendering them immune to deafening. The most practical applications for this blessing are with overwhelming the opponent by increasing the volume of nearby sounds, or confusing them by silencing completely the area around them. They are also known to use their blessing to physically knock people back with powerful ground-shaking waves. In their everyday life, they casually use their blessing to play music through their helmet and turn up the volume while riding their motorcycle!

- ZR is mute. They have been this way for as long as they can remember, and have no desire to change this about themself.
- ZR is fluent in ASL and BASL/BSV, and will frequently sign at the same time as projecting from their helmet.
- They had their helmet custom-made, but programmed it themself. The helmet is capable of displaying emoticons and/or words on the visor/screen, projecting words/images from the cameras below the screen to their torso, and playing audio out the speakers.
- Their helmet relies on their blessing to function. They have it set up to detect their amplified thoughts, and can use it to say, show, or play anything they think of.
- When they're in need of a pick-me-up, they will silently scroll through peoples' fundraisers and fund them.
- They have two moms, who are both high up in the Seattle tech industry.
Jaime is ZR's adoptive sibling.
ZR first met Jaime through a popular MMO, and grew close with them through extended conversations and missions. When Jaime was disowned by their extremely conservative Christian foster family, ZR immediately extended an offer of kinship to them. They were happy to convince their parents to adopt them. Now, they are inseparable! ZR cares deeply about Jaime and their wellbeing, and has been a key motivator behind all of Jaime's strides at improving their physical, mental, and emotional health.
Ghost is one of ZR's closer friends.
ZR met Ghost through the same MMO as Jaime and Mari. Drawn in by their shy nature and gentle personality, ZR took Ghost under their wing, so to speak, and helped them privately with missions until they grew a little more confident in their abilities. During this time, Vivi introduced herself to ZR, who happily accepted her along with Ghost's condition. ZR became a trusted person for Ghost, and the two have exchanged lengthy messages in-game and on platforms like Discord. The more they learn about them, the harder ZR falls for them. They have reason to suspect Ghost might return the feelings, but have been taking it slow, trying to avoid potentially scaring them.
Mari is ZR's friend, mostly by association.
ZR met Mari at the same time as Jaime and Ghost. Mari has always made ZR uneasy and given them bad vibes, but they've done their best to ignore it and always assume the best of people. That is, up until Jaime started to get involved with her. ZR, as a bystander, has had to deal with the IRL damages from Jaime and Mari's turbulent and unhealthy online relationship, and over time, has grown to loathe her. Out of desire to protect Jaime's autonomy and feelings, they have remained surface-level friends with Mari anyways. Having to play middleman doesn't make it easy for ZR, though.
