Fun Facts:

• She has a pet pig, named Mighty Pig, that she and her childhood friend Sakiko share.
• Her room is covered in all might merchandise, much like that of her classmate Midoriya. She also has a Dakimakura of him on her bed.
• Her dream quirk is one that allows her to fly through the air. She's always hoping to find one that is just flying and not attached to having wings or something similar.
• She is a good singer, very siren-esque.
• Her mother is a famous fashion designer, but Ashiya thinks most of her designs are impractical. (who needs a 6 foot feather train on anything)
• She is a Hufflepuff.

Childhood

Ashiya was a fairly quiet child. Growing up everyone believed that she had just inherited her father's shadow control quirk. She didn't show signs of her true quirk until a year later when she realized that she could use the quirks of the people she had touched. It started with her playing with her friend's enhancement quirk, giving herself a speed boost and racing her classmates. She later realized that she could access the quirks of other people in what she described as "a vase full of marbles and water", each "marble" representing the quirk of another person. She could only hold on to 2 or 3 of them actively at the same time, as some quirks were a lot more to handle than others, and with each new quirk she acquired she had to teach herself how to use it or it could run wild. She spent most of her days hanging out with her best friend Sakiko, who dragged her on many adventures that would leave both girls quite bruised and scraped up.

Kidnapping

In her 4th year of elementary school, Ashiya was kidnapped by a small group of villains, in attempts to get ransom money from her parents, and was held for a little over 14 hours. This incident was actually the main cause of her parent's divorce. During the time between her kidnap and rescue, they argued about paying the ransom. Her father was against it, saying paying the ransom would just tell other villains that they could do the same. Her mother, on the other hand, was preparing to pay the ransom with or without her husband's consent.  

She was rescued by All Might after he caught wind of the situation. This was a huge turning point in her life, this was the day she decided she wanted to be a pro. She was always a fan of All Might growing up, but after that day she became obsessed. He was the hero she wanted to be, and she would stop at nothing to live up to that. She started taking martial arts classes and seriously training as many quirks as she could. She studied battlefield strategies and learned how to essentially read quirks to determine the best set of quirks to use to take down villains.

School

She decided to go to UA School early middle school because it was the school that All Might attended in his youth. During the first year of middle school, she realized that many of her classmates were stressed about schools and exams. That was not a conducive learning environment, which is when she decided that she needed to make people smile the way that her hero did. She started pulling pranks, making jokes, and trying to get her classmates to laugh and ease up. Her only goal was to keep her classmates smiling, even though it frequently got her in trouble with the teachers and eventually labeled a prankster.

Outside of class she spends most of her time honing her martial arts skills and training her quirks as far as she can. She's trying to train herself to use at least 2 quirks at the same time, as switching between quirks too often makes her quite dizzy. The further she pushes herself the worse it gets, starts with dizzy spells, turns into vertigo, then eventually causes her to pass out entirely. This is why she pushes herself to learn to control multiple at the same time. Out there in the real world, fighting villains, one mistake can cost the lives of many innocent people.

Relationships

Sometime during her second year at UA Ashiya was told she needed to branch out and start dating, get herself away from her overwhelming love of All Might. She dated Mirio Togata for about a year. Their relationship was very good but when Ashiya realized her feelings for Mirio were getting serious she ended the relationship in fear of losing him. Even though the relationship ended the two remained very close friends, though Mirio clearly still has feelings for her. She spends a lot of her off time training with him, including him teaching her how to control his quirk a little better.
